So, i recently bought thief 3 through amazon but i can't stand the default Papyrus font used throughout the game. Is there an easy way to replace that font with tahoma, helvetica, georgia? I'm not too picky.

There's no easy way, but you're not alone. Your only easy option is to just switch it to the other VTCGoblinhand font.

Voila! The resulting change makes the HUD menus look a LOT more like classic Thief. However, it also affects briefings, debriefings, load text, flavor text, et cetera. Also, it doesn't have lowercase letters to speak of.
Some of it works, like the objective menus and the flavor text. Some of it won't, I think -- like the briefing and debriefing menus.

Yeah, everything about Dark Shadows (so not Thief 3!) sucked and continues to suck.
Papayas! This is supposed to be Medieval Times (oops! damn me!) they hadn't even discovered such luscious tropical yummies! No-Thief-Knowin' Bastards! Next thing they try and spring springrolls on us! And, I expect, Platipi! Kiwi?! Ostrich Egg Omelets? Banahnahs?
So sucketh the DS! I hate.

The TDS font felt off to me when I played it too, but it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game much.

Same coined phrases, same posting-style, same antics, same propensity for smileys, same sense of humor, same stances/perspectives, often posting almost immediately after each other, and...aidakeeley having just registered 14th Nov, 2009, with 14 posts to date - and his very first posts just happening to occur in the Body Awareness thread right off the bat, coinciding with jtr7's remarks.
It's not proof, but it's about as close as you can get without comparing IP addresses. All are free to disregard my belief, of course. But I remain convinced that they are the same person.
