Make each footfall squeeze-bulb horn honks, left foot squeeze, right foot release.
Make the wheezing inhale a dissonant accordian or squeezebox or harmonica.
Make each exhale a gentle tuba blatt.
Make each low alert growl a toy train whistle blowing.
Make each medium alert growl a teapot whistle.
Make each high alert growl a ship's horn blast.
But this only covers the audio. The fear may be purely in the visual, as with the spiders, for some.

As I'm fairly inexperienced with DromEd, is there a way you could change the base voice schemas for all zombies to be something else... Like, oh, I don't know, the squeaky guard voice from T:G?
And if its visual... Then I don't know how ta help ya there... Hmmmmm...

Well, with DromEd you could just remove all the zombies or replace them.
I'm not phobic, by the way, but I play one on TV.:cheeky:

I´m really not sure about this.
If it´s about being afraid, then he should take his time to get used to zombies, see how they are slow, how they have a low poligon count making them look like goofy lego sticks, etc.
But if it´s a real phobia or a very intense fear then I´m sorry but "facing your fear" is not the best answer. This is a game, even when it´s scary, you should be enjoying it, not striving with it against your emotions. If someone has real phobias he should stop playing this and seek a psicologist, and then after treatment he can have a better, more joyful experience with Thief.

Years ago , i didn't liked those zombies/haunts/etc.. in Thief Dark Project, i always prefered a very lot more the missions involving mansions to explore and guards as i felt it was more interesting in the game universe.
I was not fan of chaos guards either.
Then after Thief2 was released i was very pleased to see that the game focused a very lot more on what i appreciated instead of going again with some full ghost/haunt/zombies missions.
But that until the point i got really fed up with all those robots that i began to feel were really ruining the fun i had in the missions by their lack of immersion and coherency in my view of the Thief universe, at some points i was wondering if it was Thief or Starwar.
Then i replayed Thief1 and surprised myself to actually appreciate the zombies/ghost/haunt missions, maybe it was because in comparison to those robots (and despite i continue to prefer mansion/guards setup), those undead at least contributed to make the game immersive for me.
But robots, even now after yeaaaars of playing Thief2 , i just can't see any fun and feel no immersion when they are in a mission.

And no, you don't have to be a psychiatrist to know you shouldn't make fun of people or condescend to them without gaining an understanding.
Hey! I never made fun of anyone. I really do love the sounds the zombies make.
BTW, to the OP, stay clear of TDS then, because the zombies can
run in that game. Plus there's a level that will literally kill you.

Never meant it to sound like I said you did. Sorry about that. I was really referring to the fact that an understanding of psychiatry isn't necessary when a phobic expresses their fears.

Of course I'm not happy! <---See? Angry face. :p
So it is bad luck to let a black cat cross your path, if it's virtual?
