After 4 hours of looking around mission 2 of Thief 1, to find Felix, I finally finished the mission. In the 3rd mission I have everything but the Mystic's Soul, and I found out I need fire arrows. I have none, and starting the level again will be terrible, that level is so dull, don't like the atmosphere whatsoever. So, what shall I do in this situation?

You could always use the old level-skip trick. This "completes" the level, but you'll only have the loot you've already collected for the next level's load-out.

IMHO, maybe you should start at Normal or Hard mode. Expert for newcomers can be very frustating specially with the loot hunt.
Also use some items carefully, there are some parts in this game that really need a rope arrow or a fire arrow, so try to avoid wasting them and have an open eye for fire crystals, specially in fireplaces, camps, hot chambers, etc.
Zombies are better wasted with holy water, since it´s cheaper, or flash bombs. Or you can hack one with a sword if it´s a 1vs1 fight. Just remember to stay away from his body after the sword kill.
Normally it´s better to just dodge a zombie and run away from him, he´s not fast.

Assuming that you are playing Thief Gold, and also assuming that you have some water arrows left, you can always shoot water arrows at the Fire Shadow until he runs away. When he does that, he leaves behind a fire arrow.
I think you can get the same effect by hitting him with a sword, but that's much riskier, since he's on fire and all.

Additionally, if you haven't already done so, you may want to collect the golden bones, and at the Hammerite crypts you can get some 4 or so fire arrows for them.

To reach the Mystics Soul, you need 5 fire arrows to be shot at the torches, opening up a path toward it. I already skipped the level, and am finding Assassins to be a much better level.

Well, it is no longer relevant then, but there is another "secret" area with several fire arrows near the burrick caves (you need to jump into water, and then find a room with floor plates in a checkerboard pattern that trigger arrow traps). In case you missed that, it could have been possible to complete the torch puzzle even with the original, non-Gold version of Thief.
I also recall some apparently very patient people stacking many objects to reach the Mystic's Soul through what was originally intended to be the exit of that area, bypassing the torch puzzle (in fact, as part of a ghosting attempt) :)

Down in the Bonehoard is maybe my favorite mission in all TDP/Gold. Granted, it has zombies and I'm a little squeamish when it comes to them, but that level is also huge, well planned, and extremely enjoyable to simply explore.
Okay, that's just me. But nonetheless I'm a little surprised someone can find that place dull
