Exploring that level was absolute hell for me, I ended up in burrick caves going in circles ten times, got lost in those terrible catacombs, those jumping puzzles annoyed me, I like the more realistic scenarios.

Exploring that level was hell for me, too. But it was a kind of thrilling hell. It felt limitless, especially with the epic Egyptian architecture. I stopped playing for a couple months because I couldn't stand it. Cold sweat. Unable to sleep. Just the sound of a distant zombie would get me running madly through the place.
Then I learned I could run in a controlled manner and stay ahead. Then I learned I could sneak past most of them. That I could kill them with one holy water arrow if they were dormant. I think the biggest let-down was learning that I could back-stab the haunts, which pretty much took the terror out of them.
Anyway ... relax. Stop worrying and learn to love the zombies. :thumb:

So if you put enough distance between yourself and the zombie, they give up and find something else to gnaw on?
*Hates zombies, in any game T_T dead people should stay dead*

Yeah. But better yet, should you put something
alive between yourself and the zombie, they'll happily gnaw away on them instead of on you.

To reach the Mystics Soul, you need 5 fire arrows to be shot at the torches, opening up a path toward it. I already skipped the level, and am finding Assassins to be a much better level.
Enjoy it while it lasts:sly:
Seriously, don't skip levels! while I hated them when I first played them (as a kid), the memories have now made them my favorite levels of the game, especially cragscleft!!! it does have an awesome atmosphere, realized especially if you're willing to crank up the phones and turn the lights off:eww: .

It helps alot if you use your map and compass. If you dont, then you will end up going in circles on the large levels such as Bonehoard, Thieves Guild, Haunted Cathedral, etc.

It's a sin to skip a level when doing my yearly session of Thief Gold.
