Ikaruga is amazing, but since it's a bullet hell style shmup it's definitely not for everybody.

Also, forgot about 'splosion man.
However, if you want something with "beef to it", Shadow Complex is still the king of XBLA games: aside from the 2D gameplay, production quality is indistinguishable from a full 60 dollar game. Its also longer than many 60 dollar games.

iirr the the real title is The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom, it's very silly but with perplexing time-travel puzzles, sorta like Braid with humour. The artwork is outstanding and the trial version alone is one of the best things on XBLA.

The Misadventures of P.B Winterbottom was actually an excellent game. The main story was sadly pretty damn short, but the extra challenge maps make up for it.

Also, for what it's worth, MS points work at the Zune store, which is (I believe) mostly DRM-free now. So if you can't find anything else you can get some music.

- Bionic Commando Re-Armed is my number one recommendation -- it's been one of the better gaming experiences I've had in the last few years.
- Shadow Complex was nice, but it was also far too easy and short.
- Mega man 9 and 10 are fantastic if you're not totally dismissive of the idea of playing an 8-bit game in 2010.
- I'm loving the Perfect Dark port. I'm having more fun with it now than I did way back when.
- Stay the hell away from the Warriors Street Brawl game.

I don't own a 360, but Rez HD is one of the few reasons I'd really like to.

So far I'm leaning towards Shadow Complex, Ikaruga, or Rez, one of the three. I already have Megaman 9 and 10- 10 I'll be playing as soon as I'm done with Fallout 3, which won't be long now.
