FYI, every XBLA game has a trial version. Ya know, try before you buy.

You've already played BC Re-armed, haven't you dethtoll?
If not, I would really recommend that, even over Shadow Complex. It's a superb game with lots of cool challenges. In fact, the challenge rooms have a very "Portal" feel, and are one of the things I'm unhappy didn't make it into the new BC.
I'd also recommend Space Giraffe, but I realise it's not for everyone. Shame, as it's one of the most inventive shooters in recent years. Fantastic if you like "Zone" games. Deadly if you suffer from photo-sensitive epilepsy.
Oh, and if you've never played it, there's a great version of Marathon 2 on XBLA.

Here's a trickier question: I finally hooked up my xbox again and it turns out I have 400 points—so where should I spend them? The only thing I could find was Forza 3 car packs, which I don't really want.

*Facepalm* You'd have to thicker than a pile of bricks if you were to buy that. The ENTIRE Marathon trilogy is FREEWARE and there exists an awesome enhanced source port called Aleph One, with plenty of High res asset replacement mods available.

And yet nobody seems to be able to put in an option to change the FOV on Aleph One...

Why thank you Eva :tsktsk:
I like playing Marathon on my telly. Is that such a crime?
EvaUnit02 on 8/4/2010 at 10:28
I dunno, is it a crime to have not heard of DVI->HDMI adapters?

Yes it is. Arrest Malf.

What if his TV only has a SCART socket?

Then he would be sentenced to a dozen lashes across the backside with a rattan cane, in the town square. SCART doesn't support HD signals. Running a HD console off of a SDTV is a no-no.
EDIT:-
Most recent gen video cards support Video Out via S-video, hence why it's standard to come with a S-video adapter. You can get S-video to SCART adapters.
