Their powers.... I have no idea.... I know that on the site #099 is indeed the one Gamall uses to attack (some of them are labelled).
oO uhm, #021.... I think it's some sort of clock... time indication.

The ultimate´s Thief-fan fantasy: having a glyph tattoo...
Now witch one would I choose ?
The "trickster´s eye" on the forehead would be wicked.

My fiancé's having one done before the wedding. Which one it is, I'm not sure.
He's being 'secretive' about it.

There are seven glyph names (not including "Animus" below) in the voice files for TDS, which are never heard in-game, apparently. The Keepers apparently call upon these and perhaps cast a glyph spell, but I don't know if they are used. No telling if the different names were ascribed different symbols, either. Oh well.:)
Animus (for animating the inanimate)
Aranides (presumably an offensive attack spell)
Bethisik (presumably an offensive attack spell)
Diathemes (unknown, witnessed doing something disturbing)
Invertamus (anti-aging glyph)
Penteclees (unknown, misused by Keeper Hortence)
Transmutation (for shape-shifting)
Trillogem (unknown, a scribe had a problem with it, presumed an Elder would blame him for the error)

In Creature Clash, for instance, one can hear these magical spells. I guess many of us just haven't angered the keepers in the compound enough as that they would have started a large-scale attack.

Hmmm... isn't everything Caduca says when reading from the books just names of glyphs?
jtr7 on 25/4/2008 at 05:04
I fired up TDS today and jumped into a Keepers' Library savegame. Unfortunately, my game's sound is screwed up, so while I managed to get the Keeper Elders to attack with their wands, I couldn't hear what they were saying.:(
EmperorSteele: Interesting idea.... In the first cutscene, maybe, but it doesn't sound like anything; not spell-like, anyway, and really it's more like speaking sentences than naming glyphs. Has anybody tried to pick out the phonetics? Otherwise, it's more like quasi- or pseudo-Latin. Oh yeah, thanks! I forgot "Animus", for animating a Terminus, from Gamall:
"...Terminus, animus, take the power, the glyphs, the bindings, live, walk, talk (so sinister) and obey! Yes, my will, my desires. Terminus, animus, awake!"
A "Terminus" is a boundary stone or marker, or even better, in Roman Mythology, the deity presiding over boundaries and landmarks. The stone statues are apparently guardians of territory.
And here's some Caduca stuff:
cad_idle1: "Oh yes...it is so clear now...the one who is both Brethren and Betrayer...the one we have dreaded for so long...at last I understand. But I am so tired...so terribly tired...I must rest. Soon I will gather the council and inform them of what I've learned. Soon, soon. After I have rested. Then I will have the strength to announce the identity of the one who has been hidden...and for all the inevitable...questions. 'Fratel i Traderus.' There will be so many questions."
cad_idle2: "If only I could cross-reference with the Holdvast Editions or even Saltua or the Propheticus...but like so many...these are lost. Strange that the books I ask for lately have all been...misplaced. To misplace a book among many thousands means that it is lost. Lost forever. Have we really grown so careless? Or could it be something else at work? If only I had those books...."
cad_idle3: "Gamall, bring me to the reference stack again. Stay close, I am tired tonight, and without my sight, I fear I shall fall. Come, we have just a bit more work to complete before we can rest."
cad_idle4: "'Totalis monstrotinum...allus mutatorium.' What could it mean? What does it have to do with the End of Words? If only I could put my hands on Armand's Factoriums. Let's look again, child. Maybe you just overlooked it the first time. Someone might have put it back a few volumes down from its proper place."
cad_idle5: "What was it again...oh yes...'allus mutatorium...cancortiva...cancortivo...nun bes amun. Nun abutis dem Una.' 'The One', again. But immune from what? I don't understand...could this be the Brethren and Betrayer once more, or is it another?"
cad_idle6: "So tired...so tired...how the glyphs do drain me tonight. I feel I could sleep forever."
cad_idle7: "Yes, terrible, terrible. 'Manus eradica...mallus morto en duvium.' Doubly cursed...my hands fall useless...if these prophecies mean what I think they mean...we are doomed."
cad_idle8: "I wish to check with the Histories, Gamall. Maybe there is something in Ogilvy's Dark Ages that refers to the one who has been hidden. Hmm? Let us check there. As always you shall be my eyes...."
And...:
From time_stopping: "(Caduca, obviously tired) Yes...this passage here speaks to us now...very powerful... 'Savort temporalis... nundamay... cor mallus... reportorta im visitablum.'
(Gamall, translating, deadpan) When the progress of time ceases... the...one...will be...appointed.
(Caduca, chastising for incorrect translation) No, no... 'cor mallus... reportorta... im visitablum!'
(Gamall, correcting her error) Erm... the evil ones... will be... pointed out... for all to see. When the progress of time...ceases?"

Cor malus is an evil heart. I just checked Esperanto, since I remembered it to be based on Roman languages, but that's not it. However, interesting to see that Caduca corrects Gamall and not herself. I never listened to it so thoroughly.
