i have a question for setting up darkloader,i had to completely redo my thief games so i uninstalled everything,and so far i have installed thief gold full install and i also added t-fix with all it came with ,now i am about to put darkloader on,and yes i tested thief gold before and its 100%perfect,my question is when i put on darkloader,do i want to skip to patch files on there ?,did t-fix have those fixes? i just dont want to have problems,also there is no thief gold slot in darkload but t1/t2/tds and system shock,do i add thief gold in the thief 1 slot?

Install everything that is associated with Darkloader. You can only run T1/TG/T2 with Darkloader. I think that T-fix is for NewDark and for fm-selector. You can install Fm-Selector to run your T2/T3 fms. Install one Fm-selector for T2, and one Fm-Selector for T3, after using the Sneaky Upgrade for the T3 upgrade. Using Darkloader for T1/TG/T2 you may still have to edit the darkloader.ini (configuration Settings) in your Darkloader folder. In NewDark, the Thief Gold fms try to use T2 resources, because of their similarity.
To run a Thief Gold fm in Darkloader, "Install" the fm. Quit Darkloader. Go to the darkloader folder, and find the darkloader.ini (Configuration settings) open it with note pad. Find the name of the Thief Gold fm, and change Type=2 to Type=1. Save. Start Darkloader, click on play. After playing the fm, Run Thief Gold through darkloader to clear the fm.

ok i am going to start the process now,i will test it as i go along already got a fan mission to try,will post if i have problems=mostly likely will happen
ok i got my first problem when i try to select thief gold to add to dark loader its says "cannot find thief.exe in the specified in the thief 1 directory",what does that mean and is there a fix

Reboot your computer if you have not since re-installing your Thief programs, and darkloader as well. This should set your registry right.
What directory did you use to install T2/TG ? x:\games\ThiefG x:\games\Thief 2
x:\games\darkloader

ok i got mass problems i dont think it will be possible to fix,here are some of the problems
first all thief gold fan missions i download show up as thief 2 mission on darkloader
second problem in order for a thief gold mission to even run i have to use a thief 2 cd and its not the one i use to run thief 2 missions
third problem is i tested 2 thief gold missions so far one crashed to desktop,the other one show heath bar but rest of screen was black and was not able to move
i have 0 skill in changing files,not sure what to do now as far as thief gold fan missions,if i knew how to make the mission show up as a thief gold mission and if it was also able to load up on a thief gold disk it might work but as of now it dont
if anyone knows the issues and how to fix,i would rather use skype video and voice,or google+ hangout as it is easyer for me to deal with a real person and not some text
and darth i used games to put both games/thiefg and thief2,i dont think i need to put thief 1 on my comp again as i figure thief gold is more complete with files

Depending on your operating system, there is another technique used to install Thief Gold and T2. TafferPatcher for T2, and the latest T-Fix will install the NewDark features which you will need to play all of the up to date fms, both Thief Gold and Thief2. Windows 7 requires a different technique over xp.
Yes, you have some serious problems if you need to use your T2 Game cd to play a Thief Gold OM, or fan mission.

Just for the record, FMSel is bundled with the Sneaky Upgrade, no need to install it. (The vanilla FMSel from NewDark wouldn't work with T3 anyway.)

I installed the first sneaky upgrade which had no fm-select, and installed the NewDark Fm-select from NewDark V1.21 and it works perfectly with T3 fms.

The first version could never work with FMSel so you're probably thinking of 1.1.1.x, even if that one had FMSel included too. It's possible that the simpler T3 FMs can work with the T2 version of FMSel - I haven't tried - but the more complex ones won't. There's T3-specific stuff that must be done on install, and the T2 version of FMSel knows nothing about T3.
Anyway, the important point is that if you're going to install a recent Sneaky Upgrade, then you shouldn't install FMSel over it - it's already there.

its ok,if i could just understand why all thief gold mission i download show up as thief 2 in darkloader i would be able to solver the problem,also they showed up as thief 2 fan missions even before i put thief 2 on my pc,but strangely thief 1 fan missions are fine also thief 2 fan missions work fine,something about thief gold that is completly messing up the process lol,would be just my luck,thank you all for the help though
