And it makes perfect sense for Garrett's favorite cloak to be perforated and rendered useless as a flotation device (like a paddle-board attached to his shoulders!). Why? 'Cause when Garrett gets reckless and decides to speed run through The City to push his skills to the limits, guards end up shooting arrows at him. He's too good to get hit, but the cloak is flowing out behind him and it catches some of the arrows. He's too sentimental to get a new cloak at this time.

ehm pleaes fill me in on this. Is Deadly Shadows NOT 1st person? I was just thinking about buying the stuff finally (with my computer reaching the level of it)...

Actually, you can toggle between 3rd and 1st person in Deadly Shadows.
Either way, you don't have a cloak in DS.

A fact which displeased me immensely. While playing TDS I kept feeling like my Garrett should have rubbed charcoal or ashes on his arms to enable better blending into the shadows. A cloak would have provided more camoflage, imho. :(

Hmmm, reminds me of this other game where you can't see what you're doing because some girl holds her ass or boobs in front of the camera lens. Shocks me. Maybe I shouldn't have avoided the DS forums too much. I'll think once more before buying it.
Parker's: if he'd have a cloak, he'd wrap it around his wooden boots to silence them.
