Foolish N00bs !!!
Didn't you realise that Garrett's cloak is Elvish and made by Galadriel herself?? Thats why you can't see is sometime because its blending in with whatever is around him when there are enemies around or maybe its because the cloak can be folded very small so that Garrett can stick it behind his ear or in his nostril for safekeeping.

True. With so unique and expensive cloak one must be careful. Someone might try to steal it. I've heard a rumor there are thieves in the City, ya know...

Hmmm, reminds me of this other game where you can't see what you're doing because some girl holds her ass or boobs in front of the camera lens. Shocks me. Maybe I shouldn't have avoided the DS forums too much. I'll think once more before buying it.
Actually its not so bad. The first person is quite good to play in, and you can even see your arms/torso/legs when you look down. Which I rather appreciated. Always gave me the creeps when you looked down/around and he had no body. :laff:
I played my second time through in first person and, apart from occassionally having to swap back because I got his feet stuck in something and had to jump to 3rd so I could see how to get him UNstuck, it was fine. Not hugely different from the old ones, except the leaning movements were not quite as useful. (and yes, I got stuck about three times climbing around on stuff. Apparently the game doesn't like you walking along the crack in a wooden roof. You'll drop down between then get stuck on the upper board and the rafter board below. *coughs* But other than that, you can play through the entire thing without going to third person. You don't even have to look at Garrett if you don't want to, that I know of. Except when first starting the game.

Parker's: if he'd have a cloak, he'd wrap it around his wooden boots to silence them.
That might prove a bit awkward; he'd be tripping himself up with his cloak at every step. And we all know Garrett is exceptionally agile (he just forgot how to swim in TDS is all).
Parker, you make me crazy; but you're fun to chase around the room! *levels her staplegun at Parker's cloak in an effort to staple it to the wall* ;)

...especially if he was being attacked by a rogue staple gun.
Sneakers would still be better.
...maybe special Elvish sneakers to go with the cloak
