you know how in thief 2 they gave us a double set of museum missions and the how we all felt a bit cheated,what if we gave the concept what one of those missions should have been instead
for example we can look at it two ways,one way is to make a mission that precedes it,or a mission that comes after it,since we saw enough of that empty museum to last a lifetime
what do you all think,kinda a way to breath new like into thief 2 since we never got a thief 2 gold

What are you trying to say? Make a mission which is a prequel to Gervasius Manor, or a one which follows Gervasius Manor? You could make a prequel but it would be tough since its implied that Garrett has very little time and has to learn what the Mechanists are upto fast at that point in the game, so he wouldn't be spending time trying to steal from somewhere else. Same reason would make setting up a follow up mission difficult, especially since after obtaining the cultivator Karras is very close to setting his plan into motion.

There was a readable in Casing the Joint that said the exhibition (and thus Masks) would be two weeks later. That's why LGS planned to have two missions set between Casing the Joint and Masks for Thief II Gold (if I remember correctly, they were the museum mission, Culture Break, and the necromancer mission, Waking the Dead). Also, Masks was supposed to be followed by a Hammerite mission, Fallen Hammers.
So I can see there being quite a bit of timeframe around the Gervaisius job for some extra missions. At least two FMs, Durant and More Time to Foil Karrass [sic], operated with this idea.
Maybe Karras was slacking with his preparations or something. :p

Far too limiting of a contest idea. Most authors prefer to develop their own plots not try to fit within the canon plot line.
For a contest, think of something more general or a theme that encourages creativity. Size restriction contests tend to be the best for turnout. Also there probably should be a delay before the next contest considering the two that are currently in progress.

There's actually been at least 5 missions that fit within the Thief 2 plotline:
Mixed Messages - Shortly after Framed
Trail of Blood 2 - Right after Trail of Blood
Just Take a Look - After Life of the Party
Durant - Before Masks
More Time to Foil Karras - Before Soulforge
I highly recommend incorporating Mixed, Trail2, and Durant in your next Thief 2 playthru.
