Ok so here is the plan on how we get ourselves a new Thief game, which will be Thief 4.
-First we gain the rights to write a book about the whole Thief universe and publish it
-Next we pitch the idea of a movie to be made form the book
-The final result will be a new video game that will come out before the movie is even to be made.
and there you go instant Thief 4.

Except that the 'new video game' will probably be created for X-Box (a PC version will be an afterthought - as usual) and we'll end up with the same gripes we've had about TDS.

if they made it for a nex-gen system that would be cool, like the Wii
I could actually turn off all the lights and pretend to sneak around and bash ppl on the head with the wiimote like actually using a blackjack.
But that feel of the game would change everything,
It wouldn't be the same.

that's a bit pessimistic. game developers DO learn from past mistakes.
the only question is, who would develop it? ion storm is gone.

and yeah play thief with the new wii controller would be awesome ,blackjacking people or fighting with the sword :laff:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.:mad: Thief wasn't created to be anime-ised. And no, we are not going to have a crappy, sucky Hollywood rendition of our favourite Thief. I don't care. Thief and commercialism don't mix. Book, yes that's a good idea, but no film!!!!!!!!! If anyone wants Thief 4, they just have to wait, (like me), or come to terms that it will never be released.
End of matter surely. :p

IF it has to be made, Irrational is the only company who could manage to make it worthwhile, I guess. Better yet : if they could reinvent Thief like what they're doing with System Shock 2 -> Bioshock, i'd be a sucker for that.
