I let Gunther go at the chateau figuring He'd find me later in the game but he never showed up. No, I guess you can say HE LET ME GO. We talked then I ran he ran after me then I lost him. On the way out I ran into him on the stairs and it frightened him and he ran off. So I just went to the metro hoping to see him later in the game but he never showed up. He's probably still at the chateau waiting for me. HeHe!

Do you mean the Cathedral? In which case, yeah, I suppose it is possible to let him go - he seems to run off when you've damaged him enough or you can just leg it like you did. But you need to get the information from the computer in that room in the Cathedral so I assume you did that before initiating the conversation.

I like to soften Gunther up with an HE20 mm round just before talking with him. He then goes into his big speech about how he's been specially outfitted for the mission, and when he's done, he runs away.
Okay, so maybe it's not that funny, but I like it.

Yes, it was at the cathedral. I was hoping he's return later on in another level. That wouuld've been cool.

That's what I did against Simons the first time. I saw him and ran the other way. He did show up later at which point I hit him in the face with a LAW before we got a chance to catch up on things.
