Today we are playing again, so I have no idea what to expect. Here is the recap from last game.
It all depends on where the party decides to go. I learned long ago, that it's useless to write a big elaborate dungeons. Instead make abstract ones that I pull out at my butt...
Simplified game recap:
Players:
1) Mike (Human Fighter (longsword) MVP due to Combat reflexes)
2) Scott (Halforc Fighter (2h axe))
3) Julie (Human Monk (Flurry of blows))
4) Jamie (Elven Rogue (Shortbow))
5) Brian (Gnome Bard (Lt. Crossbow & Spell))
6) Bob (Elven Fighter (Longbow))
7) Beth (Sprite Rogue (Tiny longbow))
8) Elizabeth (Human Rogue (Shortbow))
Party is protecting a caravan heading to the city state of Bananamantoristi. They were crossing the Bridge of Titan's Teeth. Halfway across the bridge is a small island where the party is ambushed by a large goblin force. After surviving the assault, they find a message and a strange carved gem on the goblin leader. The message was orders to test a gem as a hidden shrine on the island. The players discover and attempt to use the gem at the shrine, but only discover it's one of several that is needed. The shrine is sealed back up, and the caravan continues to Bananamantoristi.
During the leg of the route, the caravan zig-zags up the cliff face while an ogre rolls boulders down at them in some crazy donkey kong style. Mike and Scott's wagon is almost hit but the horses die from running off the cliff. The wagon is saved by releasing the horses. Scott slays the orge when it ambush the caravan, and the party reaches Bananamantoristi. Scott and Mike are blamed for the loss of expensive horses and chose not to pay for the horses and were fired. The rest of the party quits and explore a well in the city that is cursed. After killing some skeletons, the party discovers some symbols from a shrine and a completely different shaped gem. Removing the gem causes the well to flood. The party barely survives...

I haven't added the Bots yet.. I'm sure they will be like golems. I drew up a map of Return to the Cathedral, but I haven't populated it.

Angry about being fired as caravan guards, the party decides to follow the caravan a few days after it left the city of Bananamantoristi. The city sits on top of a plateau, and the party heads back down towards the caravan's next destination (a small walled coastal town on the ocean). The party discovers that calamity has cost the Southern Empire Trading Guild (SETG) a shipment. It appeared that one wagon tumbled down a cliff breaking into many pieces and scattering debris. A second was found burnt and looted. Quickening the pace, the party stumbles across a treant that asked them if they were looking for their friends. The treant tells the party that the remaining wagons were following an ancient road through the Crimson Swamp instead of going around the dark swamp. It warned them to watch out for "Woodrot" because he followed the evil one called "Deadwood". It wasn't long after entering the foggy swamp that a huge thunderstorm stuck the area. The party located and managed overcome 4 tree-beasts ("Woodrot Clones") and their master "Deadwood" (an undead, spell casting tree-beast). The SETG shipment never reached the destination, instead it was left scattered about the swamps by the tree-beasts, and all of the caravan members eaten or dead. The party spent a day gathering what loot was left and carried it on the next town.
I really should proof read this, but I don't have the time ATM.
