We've covered everything already. The disagreement and division is clear. We are going in circles, especially when we are now at the point when someone comes in yelling, accusing people of not doing something that has in fact been done, and it has beeen stated more than once that it was. No we don't agree. Yes, attempts have been made to contact various qckbeams in search of the one, and to make our inquiry. The defenders of qckbeam are just as hostile as those who want answers. Qckbeam has logged in months after his last post, so I cannot imagine how Real Life kept him from making one more post. Being on the 'Net, and having anonymity, what is there truly to fear, when his thread-starting post showed an understanding of how our feelings about the journal may go. Any new ideas would be better than more hostility toward anybody.

It seems odd, too, that no one ever PM'd him, or if they did, never mentioned it.

The older the games get, the more we want to preserve the games' histories.

True. I own the System-Shock-1- and two System-Shock-2-Copies, a quite complete Thief - Collection including all English and German Boxsets (as far as there were "box"-sets), three strategy guides, some promotional stuff and - since yesterday - an old poster from 1999 in it's original packing which I'm unsure to open at all. In case of a fire, I'd safe the dog first and the collection next. Not to mention my little book-writing-hobby and my homepage.
I'm as bats as you.

But I also won a Director's Cut-Copy of FEAR once with all developers' signatures on the Box in some "creative"-competition and I was quite envied for it. Anyway I'd be irritated if someone told me I didn't earn it because I'm not hanging around that forum anymore. I know, a journal is something totally different and there is not much to *share* in my case - but if some Mods wanted it for a public FEAR-Museum I would not feel obligated to give it to them.

(Wouldn't sell it either. It's placed third on the "go-save"-list.)
