Detracting from the horror of having it vanish completely thanks to qckbeam, let us bang on Emil for a moment.
He, a game designer (isn't he high in bethesda now?), decided to randomly raffle off what is a "Holy Trinity" (the others being the source code and something else) item to the thief community, with no regard for who got it or what they would do with it.
It's the same sort of irresponsibility that would be seen if the Louvre took the Mona Lisa off the wall and let any tom dick or harry enter a lottery for who gets it.
The fact that anyone, let alone a developer who watched the communities rabid love enough to even consider letting the diary out in the public, was completely and utterly inane in every conceivable way. If it turns out that Qckbeam did auction off/burn/die with the diary in his clutches, or if we never hear from him again, let us initiate a mass sending of emails to Emil, to express our profound distate for his severe lack of discretion with the handling of such a very, very, very unique item.

So, let me get this straight-
Someone HAS PMed qckbeam on these other forums he's still "active" in, and if he's made his account public, emailed him- right?
Otherwise all this complaining is just a circle jerk. If the efforts have been made, then flame-on!
And if we do have the information to try to get a hold of him- why not distribute it here, and we'll all try?
Maybe that will get his attention.
