Just a quick update:
I've scanned the remaining pages. There were 86 overall. I'm just cropping them, cleaning them up, and removing those bits of personal information. It's coming soon!
Thanks qckbeam.
So qckbeam, my question still stands. What are you doing now? Somebody here claimed that you are working for Bethesda now.

He's not Emil, Bosnia.
RavynousHunter on 9/5/2008 at 03:51
lol, who's to say he hasn't gotten a job in the time between his last posts? maybe he does work for Beth-soft... then again, he might be a Soviet spy trying to steal our souls!! :cheeky:

He's not Emil, Bosnia.
He has to be doing something.
I mean, he was one of the developers of the game that was the sequel to one of the greatest games in PC history.
qckbeam on 9/5/2008 at 04:48
Heh. I didn't work on Thief and I don't work at Bethesda :p I wish I could say otherwise.
I'll have the journal up tomorrow for sure. Just a few pages left to clean up.

Mr Bosnia, if you go back a few pages in this thread, this was explained in-depth. Qckbeam won the journal in a random drawing. He is not a developer, just a fan like you and I. He's scanning the journal but he didn't not author it.
Qckbeam - Awesome news, I'm sure scanning 86 pages was no small task... :wot: Thanks again.
Digital Nightfall on 9/5/2008 at 05:36
It is a very well known fact that Emil is working at Bethesda. He worked on Oblivion and is working on Fallout 3.

Wow, I'm completely late for the party. It always makes an impression to see real emotion coming out.
I'm happy to see that cool heads prevailed, and that qckbeam is a day away from another release... All's cool that ends cool.
Aside from that, I have to say MrBosnia, I don't know how you did it, but you managed to time your obliviousness to perfectly break the tension time and again, haha ... good show.
Let's all have a beer now and talk about old times.

Emil, was one of the developers. Qckbeam is NOT Emil. Read the thread man! :laff:

Coming soon, Indiana Jones and the Lost Pages of Emil's Journal!
"The Nazis have found the Alarus extension!"
"Emil's Journal speaks of the bow upgrade leveling mountains and laying waste to entire regions!"
Made me lol. :D
For reasons I'd think should be apparent, I've stayed away from the resurrection of this thread, and was taken completely by surprise when I suddenly saw qckbeam posting today.
So this is, uh, my shout-out to him. Thanks. You are appreciated. Not only for what you're doing (which
is nice of you), but for, you know, being a good guy. I hope you can find the time to play some Thief this summer, and to post more in the forums.
Talk about a warm welcome. ;)
Actually, now that I think about it, I guess several interested members might have done as I did and ignored this thread. Might be a good idea to create a new one for the release.
I sure look forward to it. Sure, the new info might well be minuscule, even negligible, but that's largely what we're doing anyway these days - we wring out whatever info drops we can of whatever Thief-connected material was published or unpublished by LGS or ISA.
Have a nice weekend, all.
