Who my translation still lives!
I hope Journal Part Two will be out soon. I'm almost finished TAFE and I'm itching to translate it!
deadman on 18/11/2004 at 19:22
That's alright ;) Mine will be in the form of a collection of comments importable into the PDF(s), so one can just click a little icon next to a group of text. As I said, I want to also preserve the original feel and humanity of the journal, so I'm alright this has already been done :)
... And it looks like Tintin has answered my question: the second part isn't out yet! D'oh! Hope nothing major is keeping or adversely affecting qckbeam's life :nono:. Poor guy; don't know what's been happening to him, but from his first post, it doesn't sound too good.

Hmm, looks like I've arrived very late again. While the transcripts of the journal have cropped up, the orginal pdf or jpegs
don't seem to be accessible anymore by the links in this thread. Does anyone have a living mirror of the pdf?
[EDIT]Right, after browsing through some related threads, I came accross (
http://www.mrjay.org/darkmod/scrapbook/JOURNAL.pdf) this link. :thumb:[/EDIT]

:( What ever happened to having the second 50 pages up 'by this friday'? :( And the picture of the T-shirt and return address :erg:
Not meaning to start any rivals, but is anyone even sure about the authenticity of this document? He could have written the fifty pages by now damnit! same with the first 50! and wtf is this...

If anyone would like a transcription I'd be more than happy to do it. I know that some of the scans are a bit blurry, and some of the handwriting is a bit hard to read. It is much easier to read in person, so I wouldn't mind typing it up at all if you guys would like that.
He doesn't have the time to scan it but suddenly he has the time to translate and type it up because its 'so much easier to read in person!' Sorry, but i'm starting to have serious doubts about this whole thing, what is this, a prank? Why has it been four months of nothingness?

He hasn't been online for over 3 months. :erg: Shame, I really wanted to see the rest of this.

I annoys me to no end also. I've been waiting patiently for ages and nothing. I hope we get to see the rest soon. It can't be that hard to scan in the rest of the journal!

It seems to be a normal condition for any TTLG member. :joke:

Tell me about it. And with the link to the .jpg version from S-hole I'm getting "cannot find server". Can anybody who d/l the journal also mirror it?
I usually visit TTLG at least once a day and I still missed this.

Here's a question: does anyone here know
qckbeam (which is starting to sound like a misnomer, for quite obvious reasons :nono: ) in 'real life', or better than most of us, which is to say, not at all? I'm really starting to agree with
Tintin, it can't be
that hard to scan the rest of the thing; if he just can't find the time or get his scanner to work, he should mail the thing to someone else, and have it done with! I certainly have a working scanner and plenty of time until spring classes start. I'm sure there are many others who would be willing and able, and most importantly, would get the taffing thing out before the end of this century :joke:. I'm sure I'm not alone in having all the sympathy in the world for whatever problems
qckbeam is going through; that's exactly why I suggest anyone who hopefully knows him contacts him to get the news and try to get him to mail it to someone if he can't get it done on his own.
I personally don't think we should be jumping to conclusions, as
Thief13x has done, but yeah, I think we can 'do better' as a community. Surely he doesn't doubt someone would do the work for him if he is having 'real life issues', scanner problems, can't get off his ass to do it, etc.?
