Can I just get clarification on what constitutes a "megathread" as used in this discussion? I'm not 100% sure what's going on again.

Personally I hate megathreads. They're usually really broad in topic and span few hundred pages, meaning navigating them and finding the things you actually want to talk about hard. You always have like 10 different conversations going at once that would be more suited for separate threads. And if you miss a few days (i.e. travel) you now have like 15 pages to catch up with. No thanks.
