texture problems,i dont have a cam_mod.ini any where in my thief games let alone in dark loader
installs i have now is thief 1 and 2 with taffer patch and new dark,and i still have problems running some fan missions due to dark loader thinking t1/tg are t2 missions and there is no way i can fix if i don't got a cam_mod.ini file anywhere,i even did a computer search in both games and dark loader and it found nothing,so now i have to beg someone to please update dark loader so i can play fan missions that come out with out texture problems.
or can someone upload a cam_mid.ini file i can download or is that not possible? as is the file different for each person?
this would not only help me but everyone else
i don't have the skill set to fix dark loader
and yes i know there are a ton of boards about problems with fan mission,that is why i made this board so its not done mission by mission
please don't hate on me either as i just want to play fan mission how the authors ment them to be,and with how dark loader is now,is not doing most missions justice=needs to be fixed

the upgrade already exists, and it's called (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140093) FMSelect. cam_mod.ini gets installed by all the NewDark patchers out there, so if you don't have it, something went very wrong - reinstall your games.

i cant get fmsel to load up without a cam_mod.ini file
other wise its random if fmsel loads up after i already have dark loader loaded,i am sure that is a mistake but its how it runs on my comp,so i never know and if say i got a mission that lets fmsel to load up and say then i pick another mission that fmsel needs to run the mission,then i get some error saying my thief is not upto date when it is
so i am stuck on trying to fix it so i can load fmsel each time or get darkloader fixed
my thief 1 disk is original one released=perfect for most missions
my thief gold is a copy disk=i get mass problems with missions textures
and my thief 2 is a copy=works perfect so i got lucky on thief 2
i reinstalled my thief 1 last night,is it possible the version disk i got does not have a cam_mod.ini? as i do have the first thief game disk that was released yes i also updated it with taffer patch=i though that would fix all t1 problem?
can someone get me a cam_mod.ini file? or are they all different for each person?
the only cam_mod file i got is a text file and that just explains how it works,nothing more from what i seen

well yes, if your install is corrupted or incomplete, things obviously won't work properly. that's why I'm saying, reinstall and repatch your games from scratch, use just FMsel, and you should be good.
no, the original cd release does not come with NewDark, you need to patch it yourself. TafferPatcher for T2, and TFix for T1/TG.

yes i did taffer patch and tfix i been around long enough to know what patches i need,but the issue is with not having a cam_mod.ini
so untill i can get it i am not able to play thief gold and looks like new t1 missions are now not playable as well due to messed up textures
and if my main games work perfect and most all older fms are fine,something is changed and i am asking for help now
get me a cam_mod.ini file i will drop that in my thief 1 and then make changes to see if the mission works correct with textures if not then its my game disk
also i got a issue with new dark,why cant it be a program you click to install,i got no idea if i got all the files needed in the right place? for example do i go to put dark loader in each thief game separate?
i always though since my mantle was working way better i must have done it right?
just seems like to me the people who are making all these updates are making them less user friendly for people who got no idea about droping files into folders=a more pro way of doing things,i would rather have it like install like the tfix or taffer patch where i know it worked.

both TafferPatcher and TFix will install a proper cam_mod.ini into the root folder.

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144235) here, but no offense, you don't look like a person that should be messing with things manually.
edit: ok, let me be perfectly clear:
-install TG
-patch up with TFix
-activate FMsel (run the FMselect shortcut)
and you are done, as long as you extract a FM into its own folder inside the FMs folder, you can select it and play it. that is all - no need to drop any extra files anywhere.

well last night i re put thief 1 game on comp and tfix and no cam_mod.ini :(
and i am done with thief gold,i get nothing but problems with those fan missions
and voodoo you are so right i am not the type that need to be messing with files into folder,then i ask why was newdark made like that?,what does that say to all the people who are not comfertable with that style of install on there comp,are we all just out?
funny thing is on site here it says new dark is for thief and thief 2 but when you down load it,its says its for t2 only :(
more confusied then anything,and since we on this old bbs type board=this should be updated to a real time chat room with voice at least and maybe webcams,but that is a whole nother subject

If you want to fix Darkloader thinking that Thief 1 and Thief:Gold missions are Thief 2 missions, you don't need to do anything with the cam_mod.ini file, it's just a configuration file for the games. What you need to do is go into the Darkloader folder, find the Darkloader configuration file, find the mission entry there, and change the value of type to 1.
I don't think Darkloader needs an upgrade, it runs most missions very well. Only downside in comparison to FMSel is that you can't have multiple missions installed and ready to play at once, but I don't really do that, so eh.

dev_anj i just opened my dark loader config file and omg i got so much in there but i think i know what you were saying=i got to change each fan mission to what type it is,for example i would get a thief 1 mission put in my fan mission folder,load dark loader,then close it,then open darkloader config and change that mission to 1 if its a t1 mission,if that is what you saying then thank you so much as i never knew i could do that,and i don't have to worry about the other file :)
i will test it now
found a problem,it says on dark loader the new t1 mission is 1,but on darkloader it says 2 in visual area,but in config its 1 so i am stuck again as it claims its 1 but shows as 2 so nothing i can change in config file to help it work :(
problem is thief is getting bogged down with programs to run a fan mission,should be a all in one with no updates
stacking program onto of program is bound to have problems
