I agree with you taffers about the cutscenes, but I also think it might be unrealistic to ask for this. The old devs are gone, this is a new team, remember? Or maybe EM could try and mimic the old style.... hmm...

Unrealistic to use the same technique? A sketch, a voiceover, and a "Keeper Annal" dissertation? How hard is that for "pros"?

Just because it's a different developer does not mean they are incapable of creating a good and faithful product.

If this were Ion Storm making Thief 4, then I'de be far more skeptical. But until EM shows me reason otherwise, I'm perfectly willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

If it is within their brief, and if they sift well the, soon to be millions of comments, pro and con, they should have a damn good idea of what the faithful hope to see.
It takes thousands of manhours, millions of dollars, rubles, yen, rials and drachmae to produce a game, any game.
The finance part of the endeavor deserves to be recompensed for the investment. If sales versus "should be" end up in sales versus reality, I may be disappointed, but that's the nature of the beast.
We may end up with COSAS and other indies such as fett and company and the Dromedeers the only recourse to THIEF as we know it. But let's give E. Montreal the benefit of the doubt.
At this point I'm not sure even they know what they can and will do.
