Wait is dehtoll seriously criticizing someone that they "WON'T FUCKING SHUT UP and you keep banging the same incorrect, blinkered, egocentric drums over and over again in the hopes someone will magically agree with you" while pretty much doing the same thing in the same exact thread?
Wow

My whole argument/discussion itt was to the effect that Seth's Oscar jokes and the jokes in FG are not racist, sexist or homophobic. I like his humour, that's a personal preference. I find the mix of satire and slapstick hilarious. You and dethtoll seem to have got caught up in the "subtle" argument. The only reason that it even came up is because of both of you insisting that the MacFarlane school of humour is based on racist, sexist and homophobic jokes. The reason you think this is because you don't get most of the jokes.
Your entire post can be addressed by pointint out that "racist, sexist, and homophibic" is entirely different than "based on racism, sexism, and homophobia".....and the point can be argued that the main vehicle's for the show's humor are random cutaway gags and various jokes about said things. It doesn't mean that watching the show somehow makes you a bad person, but over-reliance on those devices does compromise the show's humor and ensures that in the long run FG will amount to little more than a fart in the wind of American pop culture.
Part of the problem for me too (I fully expect you to disagree and that's fine) is that I'm not particularly impressed by the show's over-reliance on pop culture. Compare it to classics like Monty Python and Blackadder. Decades after they were written,a majority of people (including me as a non-UK native) will still understand enough of the humor in those shows to find them entertaining and funny. The same can't be said of FG (and to a lesser extent, competing American animated humor) as it relies entirely on the viewer having a comprehensive knowledge of 80's pop culture and being the kind of person that thinks hating Republicans somehow makes them intelligent and morally superior.
As for McFarlane itself.....I still think that every indication that Seth himself is a disgusting, self righteous, hateful, narcissistic individual.

And a zoophile, at least that's my theory.

Was I the only person who was disturbed by all the bestiality plot lines introduced in later seasons?

"based on"?
Do mean "relies on the existence of"? I'd agree with that.
Still not racist, sexist or homophobic.
Which, again,
is my only point.
I think you know you've lost this and so you're now skirting around this issue. dethtoll has given up because he's unable to come up with anything else in the face of loads of people telling him he's wrong (which, in his own mind, he never is). At least have the balls to just quit like he has instead of struggling to win something back with these sidetracks.

Stop second guessing me, you twit. I agree with you on this point.

I've given up because I know when it's fucking pointless, and also because it's fucking exhausting. This argument has dragged on so long because of you. Nobody can agree to disagree, it's always gotta be SUBJEFF IS ALWAYS CORRECT EVERYONE ELSE IS ALWAYS WRONG. You're a fucking egomaniac. It's hilarious that you're talking about having the balls to quit because you clearly don't.

"relies on the existence of" is a pretty meaningless statement. It relies on making jokes about racism and sexism for a majority of it's humor since about season 3, and consequently a majority of it's attempts at humor just come across as self-righteous and preachy.

Having said that Deth, have you been reading Toad's contributions? They're presented like they're fact and he is some kind of professor of cartoon parody or something. Like I said a few metres of page ago, if this whole thread had been given a little more as opinion and a little less as incontrovertible fact, the agree to disagree point would have been struck ages back.
