The Big Bang Theory is chillingly bad without a laugh track. Here's a minute and fifty-five seconds of utter torture:

Only farm animals and the offspring of consensual incest could possibly find this show funny.

So, heath bars are delicious.

Yes. But only with a laugh track behind them.

Seconded. Big Bang theory is atrocious....with or without a laugh track.
In regards to me " not getting", family guy:

I used to not like Futurama but warmed to it over time....same with American Dad. Boondocks is hit or miss. Some episodes are preachy and dry, while others are hilarious. I used to like Robot Chicken but now hate it, although I still can be amused by Aqua Teen. I also used to hate Squidbillies but a friend of mine gave me a fresh perspective that made me realizes that it does a very good job of parodying a part of the country I'm familiar with (I went to school within a few miles of some of the towns mentioned in that show, and the characters...well, the "nuggets" are actually like that).
@deth. Would one of your reasons for hating TWD be how it shits on the source material?

exactly. Family guy has to be the easiest of all shows being discussed to get. The fact that it's so easy to get... so predictable... is what makes it so completely not funny. Surprise is what evokes laughter in those with a good sense of humor.

Wow, look at us, simply discussing what we do and don't like, like civilised people.
Archer is great, but wears thin. Not seen Boondocks. I will always love Futurama.
I literally loathe Top Gear. It can occasionally be amusing, but the studio sections with the obviously rehearsed banter and stage managed audience response is just cringeworthy. Also Clarkson is an insufferable right wing cunt. They did a Top Gear race to the North Pole comparing a large ATV versus huskies and sled and at the end, CLarkson added to his pithy summary that he didn't notice any thinning of the ice and therefore climate change isn't real. However, I'm glad Top Gear exists, because otherwise,
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7CnMQ4L9Pc) THIS wouldn't.
I didn't mind Clarkson for that brief moment in the late '80s when he was actually funny, but his humour never moved on from funny metaphors and he decided to spend most of his waking life writing newspaper columns about how cyclists, environmentalists, scientists and basically everyone who doesn't support his extreme version of libertarianism are all the scum of the earth and deserve to be locked up, run over or both.
I f Clarkson was catapulted into a wall made of his own compressed faeces, I'd probably be ok with it.

That link went exactly where I was hoping it would. :thumb:

Top Gear gets away with the political incorrectness since it's hard to take any of them seriously when half the show is them taking the piss out of each other then crashing old Alpha Romeos. Clarkson is like every stereotype of a grumpy embarassing middle class dad. I mean I'm sure he is quite right wing at heart but I also imagine he's playing it up just to needle lefties.

Seeing as the show has massive audience and he writes in the same vein in national newspapers don't you think that's rather irresponsible of him?
Fwiw I think he does ham it up but behind it he really believes and means it
