You're not alone.
I recognize only 3 band names.
So I must be getting even older.
I went to PukkelPop too.
In 1987 ....

I recognized-- not a single fucking one.
It probably has something to do with the fact that the last concert I went to was Gordon Lightfoot.

Saw MsMr and Jagwar Ma (and The National, not on your list) a few weeks back at Splendour in the Grass and they were all great. MsMr were amazing actually.
Super jealous of you getting to see Chvrches, my new faves to hail from my old home, as they played in Sydney & Melbourne but not Brisbane. Did you catch their set?
Franz are here in November (along with Massive Attack) and The Roots and Vampire Weekend are here for another festival after that.

I'm old, but I'm not too old -- I recognize five, maybe six of those bands. Though two of those I picked up through Jeshibu.

Even I don't recognise a handful and I consider myself relatively savvy.
Cerebral Ballzy is an amazing name I hadn't heard of. :D

Yeah, Cerebral Ballzy is a
perfect name for a punk band. Their set was a bit underwhelming though honestly. The songs weren't as enjoyable as the studio-versions, and the leadsinger looked like he was stoned out of his mind and not as energetic as one might've hoped.

Mission accomplished! :D

Ah that's not bad. I think only about 4-5 of them have gotten radioplay (here in Finland at least) so it's mostly stuff you won't hear unless you go looking for it, and I'd say more than half of these acts have sprung up in the last 2-3 years.

Yeah, the production values and setdressing were quite sparse and there wasn't much "showmanship" from them compared to many of the other bands, but the songs and the delivery were solid. I'd only heard (and loved) a handful of their songs previously, but apparently they have an album coming out in September. Can't wait! :D
