Delivery would be all I cared about.
I recognise about 5 of those bands. I've seen The Prodigy before and I thought it was really weak (it was at Glastonbury). Then Smashing Pumpkins came on and nailed it. It was awesome and if you ever see them live on tv they look weak.
I think I'm probably too old/tired to actually go to a concert now. Soundgarden are coming here next month and as much as I love them the thought of being in a sweaty crowd again makes me want to go to bed. The last concert I went to was the London Electronic Dance Festival 2 or 3 years ago. I can dig that kind of thing because its a different type of music throughout - Die Antwoord, Aphex Twin, Leftfield headlining. But guitar stuff? Too low energy for me.

Must be 'too tired' because I didn't start going to concerts till I was older than you are now. I'm quite pleased that I recognise 4 names.

I recognized 11 from the list, what do I win? How was NIN? I haven't been convinced yet by their new material and comeback. Also, James Blake is fucking fantastic, hope you enjoyed him.

I find the new NIN stuff a bit too noncommital musically. It's Trent writing on autopilot by the sounds of it.
Also, while I love their new stage set up, I think Trent has lost his sheen as a performer. His voice isn't up to many of the tracks and the music doesn't translate as well to the refined muso aesthetic which they've taken on since Ghosts. The atmospheric pieces end up working really well, but tracks like March of the Pigs feel like they're being played by a rock covers band.
I saw them live in 2009 (or was it 2010) with Jane's Addiction (awful, awful band) and was underwhelmed by the attenuated musical energy compared with their previous form. I guess it's part of getting old and becoming happier.

Only stayed for a few of James Blake's songs, before leaving for Prodigy. It was... alright? The show didn't leave a huge impression on me despite the fact that he opened with a few of the handful of songs that I actually like of his.
I haven't seen NIN live before so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I thought it was great. Loved the opening ((
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqCR-GugRho) same one as here) which starts out as minimalistically as it can get. White canvas background, Trent Reznor, and a drum pad(is that what it's called?). And then it just keeps growing and growing. Also, Trent didn't say anything or really acknowledge the audience at all. Not so much as a "thank you" at the end. That would seem rude for a lot of artists, but given how cold and hard the music is it felt fitting. I also liked the trackselection, they even played The Hand That Feeds, which I've heard is not beloved by a lot of the fans (or Trent himself) but I like it so yay!

Sorry, I'm not a fan. I find the music a bit all over the place and the guy's voice grates on me. I know they're beloved by many, so perhaps bad of me to say "they're bad" rather than "I don't like them".
Henke - check out footage from the Things Falling Apart tour for NIN at their very best. Trent's voice just can't get the high notes or very volume intensive parts, so in order to avoid bum notes or cracking, he's reined in both tonal range and volume dynamic, which to my ear has changed his voice into something now less than the sum of its parts.
I have seen videos of the new tour and I love the stage aesthetic, but that kind of stuff is designed by Trent and Rob Sheridan and I doubt anyone's age will impact that. Still not close to the Lights in the Sky tour light show though - that was INSANE.
[EDIT] The instrument Trent is using at the start of A Copy of A is some kind of synth with an arpeggiator running.

I'm with faetal on this, but without caring how other people react to someone saying they are objectively awful.
