It is interesting from the standpoint that id has always prided themselves on being small and non-corporate. You wonder how (if) things will change at all, or if the parent company will just let them do their thing, since the games always sell well.

Well, if anything, I'd just like to see Beth pull off a decent first-person action component in the future. Fallout 3's has its problems.

Yeah, that's really the thing about id software, every game they've ever made has been a hit. Even if they were to be acquired by EA, the corporate culture wouldn't change much.
