i could imagine things would be very different, all the thiefesque conventions i love would be gone.
the bow replaced by a machine gun. tanks. gun emplacements. nazi commanders. linear missions.
hopefully my paranoid fantasies will never be realised.
im pretty sure though some individuals comforted themselves with the same sentence before deus ex: iw :D
fingers crossed.

then they would all mysteriously "disappear," leaving naught but fine rusty dusty in thier stead.
My vote's for UbiSoft, if not Eidos. Splinter Cell is pretty kickass, and im sure Ubi would do thier damndest to not let us down... least i would hope so... :erm:
Listening to DevilDriver for 4-6 hours straight can severely alter mental functions, and impair hearing temporarily.

....it would be TRUE horror. More than Silent Hill 3 combined with Resident Evil 2.
My vote for Irrational Games or Arcane Studios.

if EA were to handle thief....
.....they'd put the year as a subtitle. :D

.....the X-box 360 version :cheeky: would have the option to use custom soundtracks instead of the EA Trax and Groove Armarda :cheeky:
this could get rather fun. for me.:p

Hmmm... mixing the hidiness of Thiefsiness with Tristania? Interesting concept, to say the least...
The only other person Id let handle Thief besides Ubi would be Richard Garriott. That man practically founded the gaming industry as we know it, and if I could trust him with such a mind-blowing series like Ultima, I'm extremely confident that he would make one hell of a Thief. :thumb:

valve with their experience could develop a pretty awesome thief experience, the source engine would definately be a cool engine to utilise with its fancy effects and excellent physics. if they used the mine of information from the thief universe well, stuck to familiar conventions and used the originals as templates then adding their own ideas and creative input a decent game would be promised.:)
id just hope they didnt upload it onto steam.

If EA were to handle Thief...
John Madden would be the voice of Garrett. That guy's in all of their games...

Yeah, and they'd spend 18 months on creating and testing something like 3-4 hours of gameplay (HL2: Episode 1 case)
