If Garrett would live in our world.... - by DreadLord

...what would be his overall (clothing) style I wonder?
I know it´s a silly question - but when you look at his character - how would he dress himself when living on our planet at our time?
The first thougt would be that he would wearing hoods, but I think that isnt true as hoods in his world (in a middle-age world) represent a completely differnt thing than in our world. There it was normal to wear hoods when walking on a street....
In our world hoods on the streets are primarily associated with skate-punks....
Maybe he would be a hut wearer (+ sunglasses  )? Then again, what hairstyle does he have?

Well shit, if I could dress like Garrett I would, therefore I say he'd look exactly the same as he does now.

Okay then, he'd be a mall goth since Garrett wouldn't wear something that isn't dark and doesn't keep a low profile.
Better...? *shudders*

Cool question.
I think he'd wear something very nondescript. Back in Garrett's world, I think he (and thieves in fantasy lore in general) wore the hood and cloak because concealment was best done by actually concealing one's body. In today's massively-populated world, however, concealment is best done by simply blending in. Think of Matt Damon's pickpocket character in Ocean's Eleven, for example.
I disagree he'd wear something akin to the Goth style; he'd stick out like a sore thumb, which would jeopardize at least some of his objectives.
I imagine him in shades (for detachment from crowds), loose but not sloppy clothing (for mobility), earthy and natural colors (for an unremarkable appearance). Short, kempt hair (keeping with the times).

Haha, I don't know. He looks really thugged out. There's no way he'd blend in with such a gaudy outfit. I'm not sure whether he's about to steal from me or rap a song.

I could just hear Garrett now, when picking up a piece of special loot . . . "Werd!"

I imagine him trying to steal from an inner-city home, but the house dog and/or crack momma chases him out. He flees and attempts to climb over the wire fence, but his baggy pants catch the edges and he knocks himself unconscious. Then the po-po arrest his ass. Game over, man, game over.

LOL! Lord, if Eidos ever got the balls to release a 'Thief 4' with that get-up and style . . . I don't think I could ever take it seriously
