I would like to know if you choose to abort a mission, are you able to proceed with the next mission or do you have to absolutely do every mission? I do not want to do the Cradle mission. It scares the glories out of me.

So.... this is about TDS ?
Well, then you must complete every mission.
Afaik, there is no way in TDS to skip any mission.

Here it comes: (

Not sure how it would help people dealing with being scared by
non-existing monsters, though
It's a video game after all, ain't it ? ;)

It can still be scary regardless, though I personally love that stuff, if a game is powerful enough to unsettle me bring it on. I played the Amnesia demo recently and it was really nice for that. As for the Cradle, the first time I played it it scared the crap out of me a couple of times (playing alone in my apartment at night, in the dark): I was passing through the mess hall completely unaware that there was
a puppet hiding under one of the tables until he jumped up at me and killed me; I literally jumped back in my chair when that happened and I think I actually let out a yell...good times
