If you could only bring a Thief item: I'd bring plenty of flashbombs.
If you could bring a weapon from any game, I'd probably bring the BFG although I'd have to make sure nothing is right next to me when firing it.

i love the bfg, it would be my second choice if the railgun is not available
one thing for sure, after hearing that banging sound in the stair up to the attic, expecting to be torn appart by whatever i thought would be wating for me behind that door, i would have been trigger happy with the bfg, opening the door and firing a bfg shot from the stairs and asked questions after. but since i didn have a bfg in the mission, i simply threw a flashbomb inside the room before walking in
if it were a weapon of the thief series, assuming i know about the flashbomb effect on the patients, i would bring them, otherwize i would have concentrated on fire arrows as i did before i went to the cradle
i only found out by chance that the flashbomb also worked against the patient too

Seconded on the flashbombs. Like, a gazillon of 'em.
Weapons from any other game? Gauss gun (from Call of Pripyat), to be sure. That'd stop the bastards.

Who takes a screwdriver and thinks "Oh, this could be a little more sonic!"...?
No I meant that Doc has his screwdriver and the one I'd have would be an extra he made on the spot or something.
Also I forgot to mention that Doc would obviously take his TARDIS with him so yeah. Altho really I'd go into the cradle randomly with nothing on me. Then Doctor randomly gets in the cradle himself and we meet and oh yay the joy.

I can't make head or tail of that bow. Is it made of lava? And it seems Garrett has at long last decided to pee from the roof. Or perhaps that is an unconventional method of holding a bow. Either way first person has never been so intimate.

Flashbombs. All undead die quick, and at least stop coming at you if they don't die with the first light-burst, and many undead can be handled at once, with flashbombs. Oddly, regarding TDS, this is hardly ever mentioned.
Yeah you're right. Nothing beats flashbombs.
They don't work in the Dark Mod though :(

That strange apple that won't stop moving once disturbed. Man there's something weird about some of these necromantic places that keeps fruit from rotting, drying, or changing at all for decades.
Someone should rig up a Mechanist Combat-Bot to shoot flashbombs at anything that moves, and send it into the White Ward.
