If you liked Dear Ester - Post Script: HL2 mod. - by SubJeff

Looks like this will be up my street. I really liked Dear Ester and this, whilst not the same thing, is modding that goes more into the narrative rather than into the shoot shoot bang bang.

A post-apocalypse setting with puzzles thrown in and a story to uncover. We all love the apocalypse don't we?

Does this like to cover up incomprehensible accents with loud music and no subtitles too?

No voiceover, just on screen text. Its an interesting idea but a little meh because a. it's too short and I don't know wtf is going on and b. the map design is the most basic thing you've ever seen. Considering Source is fantastic for making this kind of stuff if used well its all the more :eww:

Hi folks, Lewis here, the guy behind Post Script.
I've taken on board loads of fantastic feedback today and by the start of next week should have completed a new art pass for the mod, made it look prettier and more functional, and fixed some glitches. Do have another go then - hopefully your opinions will have gone up.
Each episode is very short, yeah - between 10 and 20 minutes for most people. But they should be released regularly, and follow a central story arc - which means by the next episode everything should be starting to make more sense, too.
Cheers for trying it out!

Very cool, Lewis. Will do.

Sounds great. This is one of the things I like about the current modding scene - they experiment with interactive narrative in ways that the commercial scene could hardly do. The results vary wildly, but that's the whole point of experimenting.
Definitely looking forward to this, Lewis.

Sounds good. Will definitely check it out when I get back to my gaming PC in January.
Also, I loled at "deaftoll."

Well he is deaf in one ear, IRL.

And mostly deaf in the other. A hearing aid helps though.

This may be an odd question - but you aren't a 70 year old guy in west hollywood I have recently sued over not paying my deposit back after subletting his place 2 summers ago by any chance, are you?
