You didn't see anything, citizen.

Damn. And I was just about to post an excerpt from the Starcraft fanfic I never finished from 2001 in the wake of Koki's post before he edited it. Here's an excerpt
about purple sperm from some random Neuromancer-inspired horror story I never finished from 2000 instead! Enjoy the contextlessness! :)
Quote:
Growing out of the floor, a crescent of fleshwrapped bone. Steel ribs sprung out from its sides, their ends sunk deep into the floor. The framework was splotched with rust, a sheathing patina of dark stain.
K'tageth's head was mounted above the altar, a featureless face sliced down the middle by a dripping orifice. It parted open as we looked, revealing no tongue, no teeth; and though she recoiled from the vision, the woman couldn't help but stare into K'tageth's mouth.
His insides were flayed crimson, slit by a hundred lines of dark purple that bled wet air. 'He breathes through them,' the thing had explained to me when I'd first seen them. They pulsed in unison now, expelling a collective breath that washed over us.

This is Starcraft? Sounds more like 40k.
Sulphur on 17/11/2009 at 03:33
Sure. Not that I even knew about WH40K 9 years ago, but if you squint hard enough, you could even imagine it's a Starcraft/40K crossover.

I was 17, so gimme a break. I'd like to think my writing's improved some amount since then.
