Or, since there's glint, there's no need to make them look different.
Exactly. Can't you see how this is bad?
That's like saying "Since the guard drops to the floor as soon as you walk up to him, there's no need for a blackjack."

Now at this point, the game is resembling an RPG or adventure game.
THIS IS NOT BAD no matter what ZylonBane says.
ZylonBane says such a game wouldn't be Thief. The Thief style of gameplay presents the player with a linear sequence of self-contained missions tied together by an overarching plot.
What you want is Grand Theft Stagecoach.

Hi All
Finished the game (twice) second time on hard (couldn't be arsed finding 90% of the treasure that's not my main interest in the game to try Expert). Enjoyed it ok. I liked the idea of the free roaming City but still prefer the intro black and white intro scenes ( a major loss in my opinion). The game slowly grew on me as I had been assured especially Shaolsbridge. Probably up there with but not better than the Cathedral.
I loved the new lock picking (way better than and more realistic than previous) but I thought even on hard (there didn't seem that much difference betwen that and Expert) the game was quite easy. Though to be fair the original games were the same once you had played them through. When playing Theif 3 I was ULTRA cautious expexting the Ai to be new and improved but it wasn't really. It had some new vocab but it still had the same line of sight etc.
I did like it when other things were happening in the City and the residents were interacting i.e. killing each other and I could sit back and watch this. Made it feel more real.
I liked the shops with the fences but at the end I had around 12000 in gold so I could pretty much buy whatever I wanted.Speaking of which what's with Practice locks? Do they improve your lockpicking?
I liked the end of the game. It rounded things off nicely and the music was as always athmospheric. It seems unlikely but are there plans for a 4th Thief game? Not sure what it would involve but would be interested :)

ahem yes thanks for that :erm: forgot about the Search Button, Getting lazy. I think I agree with having no Thief 4 with Garrett but continuing with in the same world. Though of course if the next storyline is excellent then Bring him back.
Will try and get my hands on T2X. Will mail them see if I can get it posted on disc as I don't have Broadband. Whatever about the Meatl Age I'm still in the Stone Age when it comes to computers :erg:

I must say that if I gave all the Thief Games a rating, it would look something like this;
TDP-?
TMA-?
TDS-?
Thing is I can't decide. I love them all too much. Whenever one starts to become my favourite, I remember something just as good from one of the other games, and can't decide which I like the most.
I thought the City hub was a bit dissapointing, but more than bearable. One thing that annoyed me was the way in which the gameplay sometimes fell short of the story. For example; 'Docks is the right place to hire a few murderous thugs.' Yeah, sure. Through the entire game I didn't see a single thug in the Docks, the so-called poor part of town. Stonemarket Proper was crawling with thugs, and yet it was also swarming with Hammers!?
In the City's defence, I liked the way in which friendly A.I interacted with you, (e.g What's with the hood?) This made the game seem a lot less like a game, and more like real life.
Highnoon- You MUST get your hands on T2X! IMHO, so far it's brilliant, I love the new character, story and maps. One of my favourite games of all time.
By the way, does anyone know the name of Zaya's own country? I've played 3 missions so far and still don't know.

I've got a copy of T2X on disc, HN. I can burn a copy for you & mail it if you'd like. Let me know.
Yep; I've got a dialup connection as well. Sucks. :(
