In the past, I often worried about how cannon the Thief lore is and anything else should be considered a threat to the cannon lore. I said, since - well, TDM could be a game that cannot use Hammerites, Pagans, cannot be considered a true Thief game.
But things have changed since the release of Thief 4. From what we see, the new Thief differs so much from the old games, but it's still enjoyable. Or I'm growing old and less picky. And, to put it simple - TDM may provide more thiefy feeling than Thief 4. And the factions are more interesting than what we see in Thief 4.
Can you recommend me some good Churchy missions? Cuz that's what I miss most from Thief.

The "St. Alban" missions are pretty good, at least part 1, which is what I'm playing through now. Then, of course, there's the Tears of St. Lucia. Alberic's Curse is a church mission, though a haunted one.
I haven't done as many Dark Mod missions as I'd like, so I'm in somewhat the same boat as you.

In fairness, the Dark Mod's lore is (usually since it depends on the author) only a few necessary-for-legality steps away from Thief lore: No Garrett, no Keepers, Pagans referenced but not used much, No Hammerites but Builders who are pretty much the same. Same classic undead (though haunts are revenants) and monsters and the city has a name (again depends on the author).

Thanks. I just tested a mission about a haunted monastery. Looks cool at first glance.

Be sure to give the menus a good read as there are some customizations people tend to miss. You can enable a bow site, and if you're finding the AI vision a bit too good for your liking there is a setting to tone it down slightly closer to classic Thief levels.

Thanks.
My biggest problem after installation of the Mod was setting the right resolution. On my older PC it's 1680.1050, I haven't yet installed it on my laptop.
Everything is fine on my older PC. I'm very excited to finally give this game the chance I was previously never willing to give.

Hope you have fun with TDM.
The William Steele series comes highly recommended...available from the ingame downloader.

Ingame downloader? Huh, I still install them manually. I may still miss some things...

Yes, there is a mission downloader built right into the main menus. Pretty much everything released should be in there.
