Yeah (
http://personal.inet.fi/koti/messypixels/RustheapRally.html) check this shit out! :D
For those of you who have Unity, give it a spin and let me know what you think before you read on. I wanna know it it's obvious what it's about without you having to read this text to figure out what to do in it.
The race doesn't end btw... it just loops. I'm calling this thing Rustheap Rally, for now. It might not be a racing game when it's done and I'm also trying to make it completely sidescrolling instead of having the track circle around the camera as it does now. I'm also pondering maybe not having it scroll at all but instead be a series of seperate screens where you need to do death-defying tricks to get from one side of the screen to the other. Sorta like Trials, y'know. And before anyone gets too impressed by my programming skills I should note that I did not program the car, that credit goes to (
http://www.gotow.net/andrew/blog/?page_id=78) Maxwell Doggums, I just tweaked it a bit to suit my needs.
Comments/suggestions are welcome. :)

Stuff I noticed in about 1 minute of messing around.
* Controls are not obvious unless you know UNITY or make a lucky guess.
* Being unable to see what's ahead makes most of the driving based on faith that there's ground ahead of you. Especially for any jumps you have.
* No kill box, making you able to get to places you can't see with the static camera.

Well the controls are just the arrow keys so I don't think that needs explaining. The other two points tho, yup, thats on my to-fix list.

I've figured out why I thought the arrow keys didn't work. I only attempted to use them during the "cutscene" which doesn't give a clue whatsoever that it's a cutscene.
