Alright, I'm in Hong Kong, I just got the Dragon's Tooth Sword... nothing happened.
Nobody said anything to me, nothing has changed. It's as if I've never gotten the sword. It still lists that I need to find it under my objectives. It also says that I need to send the signal to the NSF place(?) Which I know I've done.
What's going on here?
P.S. I have the multiplayer patch, but I just got it. So I didn't start my game with it.

Come on guys, what shall I do?
I really don't want to start all over again, but I'm not getting anywhere.
Max Chen say's nothing new.
The leader of the Luminous (SP) Path says nothing new.
I can't find Maggie Chow.
I've killed her maid, along with half the population of Hong Kong (including all the Read Arrow's and Police men).
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Which multiplayer patch did you get? Because there were all sorts of problems with the first one mainly involving uncompleted goals such as the send signal to NSF HQ etc.
If you have the older multiplayer patch (which is unlikely since you only bought the game recently) then you might want to download the new single player patch. That's supposed to clear things up. Or you could reinstall Deus Ex (copying your saves folder to a safe place of course) and patch it with the latest single player patch. Do
not use the multiplayer patch until you have finished the single player game and you should be alright.
Of course, the new multiplayer patch is
supposed to fix everything the single player patch does but I don't know...
You can download the SP patch from (

I take it that you didn't patch. If so then your screwed you've got to patch and load before the swoard preferable before you work with the NSF otherwise start a new game.

?...
I'm a little confused.
I downloaded and installed TWO multiplayer patches. The first one enabled muktiplayer, the second one was supposed to update it along with the single player game.
I did save my games into MY BRIEFCASE before I did this But I can't seem to open them. Whenever I try it jusst brings me to the main Deus Ex start up screen. When I try to load a game from there I only have my most recent - Post Sword getting files.

Okay, the first multiplayer patch was released several months ago and brought with it several bugs including "crazy footsteps!" and the uncompleteable goals such as the NSF signal from the warehouse one. Most people who wanted to complete the single player game uninstalled the MP patch until they had done so.
Now, the newer single and multiplayer patches are supposed to have fixed all the problems with uncompleteable goals etc. I've never heard of anyone with this problem before but it seems reasonable to suggest that it may be from one of the patches.
I have played it all the way through without any uncompleteable goals with the latest single player patch so that'd be your best bet. Reinstall the game and patch it with that patch only - it's got everything you need (though obviously not multiplayer).
You say that you have backed up your save games before you installed the patch. Well, to access them you'll have to put them back in the Saves folder in the Deus Ex directory. That should work assuming you have the "Current" folder in there.
Hope that clears everything up. If that doesn't work or you can't get to your old save games then you'll have to start again. Bear in mind though that you can still complete the game if the "send NSF signal" goal is listed as uncomplete. Several people have reported this didn't stop them getting all the way to the end.

This is why I've always played console games

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/ubb/smile.gifPC's are sooooo complicated.
I think I'm just gonna start over. My brother's playing also and he just found the sword and was told to bring it to Max Chen. So it must just be a bug in my game, oh well. Starting over isn't that bad, I'll just go about the game a different way.
Thanks for the help!
