Just more pointless ironic provocations.
Unfortunately I don't have as much slack to hang around forums and arguing about games and mods as obviously you do. :)

Is the Dark Mode done yet?
This is how it's programmers kill their leisure time when they are done composing their daily batch of code?
*yawn*

And Lo, the descent into trolldom was completed.

But yet you answered. :)

It's funny though that you seem to consider it a provocation when I try to explain to you what kind of limitations a game has to face, except the most obvious hardeware choice.

Check our site. If it says "Status - Released" you know that it is considered to be done. :)

While coding there is a lot of leisure time. When you wait for the comöiler to finish, or when you wait for Doom 3 to be finished starting up and loading your map, etc..
Also TTLG postings I mostly don't do while working on TDM, only when I have some spare time in the office, where I can not work on TDM anyway. :)

Do you think T3 is PC-like enough? Certainly not. Many technological compromises have been made to adapt the graphics, design and gameplay to console platform.
Somebody has to defend the good work this game contains and effort which many dedicated people have put into it.
I still am most upset not with the game itself, but the way the development and release was handled. They didn't have to lie about it, you know.

I'm disappointed by certain things as well, but I left my ranting days behind me long time ago. I change what I can, and I'm not going to spend the rest of my days in bitterness and depression just because some game is not paragonally perfect. Nothing is, I am neither.
Although I'm glad my little optimistic bait has been catched so vigorously by local Anti-TDS Righteous Response Squad.
And hey, our discussion is going to be famous.

Why bait folks who are serious about their project if you have no intentions of sticking around?

It wasn't intended bait. But maybe somebody took it so and reacted.
Perhaps I shouldn't use so many metaphors.
I'm stuck around here for some time and it doesn't seem I'll have enough anytime soon. :)

Good. Perhaps you didn't make the difference so obvious. It was as if you were talking about mods in general. So from now on I suggest to clearly differ between "Mods" and "Conversions".
Well, it's generally understood that if you're attempting to recreate the style of a game in another engine, that it's a
total conversion modand not just a modding the original game.
As I said, if the T3 engine were moddable, then there would be 'no need' to mod the doom 3 engine, or any other, as it could have all been done within T3.

BR796164, spar's original message was only about not thanking them for stuff that was only part of the development process.
Wether T3 is good or bad configurability is a seperate issue. It's configurable enough for some, and not for others.
