Hey, if you re-read Engels and Marx before attempting to write something down about Thief, it has to be interesting. And far from being serious.
There is lots of meaty thought to be drawn from them. I realize Thief never shoots for the over-serious soap plot - What I mean though is I want to translate that fear and sweat you get from the exposition. One of my favorite shows was the X files , and they always tread the line between ripping our hearts out and blowing smoke in our face.
Ill try to get something up this weekend. I look forward to criticism

How dare anyone attempt to commercialize a commercial product. Harumph!
That's a little reductive don't ya think? Thief wasn't originally made for the lowest common denominator - id like to provide an alternative to the version where he is batman/altair/hitman47 or whatever they do to sell tickets.

I think it's more likely that if a Thief movie were to get released, it will just be a movie dumped into January that will be forgotten about as quickly as it arrives. But I still have doubts that they will make a movie. Thief, both the original trilogy and the reboot, do have cult status, it has been pretty much forgotten about by the, for lack of a better term, mainstream gaming community. I'd wager there's more people still playing and talking about Deus Ex 3 than Thief 4. At least that's how I've gauged it.

I pretty much doubt the reboot comes anywhere near to a cult status.

No, it's understanding what the word "commercialize" actually means.

Obviously what I mean here is to whore out the franchise for a film. We can argue semantics but why the tone?

OP, what exactly are you asking for? Collaborators for a fan fiction? You should probably edit your thread title for clarity.
