Every-day people were targeted and killed, people that enjoyed listening to live-music, that enjoyed drinking something on friday night, that went to a sport event... as usual in France... People like you and me... Free.
And some brain-washed guys took it all.... :(

Is it true that the attackers were all "refugees" from Syria?
If so, this will not help with Europe's reluctance in accepting the mass of refugees heading there of late.

No, they found a Syrian passport on one of the attackers who came via Greece into the EU. Another was a French citizen and known Islamic fundamentalist. His brother and father have just been arrested in France. Another three apparently lived in Brussels.

Also worth mentioning that unlike Al Qaida, which is top-down in organizing terror, ISIS is just a brand name any local group is invited to use on its own initiative. It's mostly bottom-up and locally organized, especially outside its occupied areas. So it's possible the leadership is Syria had no idea about this. Militants already living in Europe may have just picked up people opportunistically and took the name.
I think it's important to understand what's happening as the best start to coming to terms with a tragedy like this, and how to protect people and our way of life.

That guy talks about "compatibility of cultures" and brings up genetics (9:13). That's just after his cynical remarks about the tight gun control in France.
He took a long time to get there, recounting all the facts first, but in the end, he's just a racist right wing nut who considers his theories confirmed by these attacks.

My heart breaks for those victims, not just in Paris, but in the Lebanon bombing and the downing of the Russian jet. Such senseless violence and unspeakable tragedy. May the survivors and the loved ones of those victims find peace.

One thing speaks for this being a fairly coordinated attack with someone doing a lot of planning behind the scenes: (
http://www.afp.com/en/news/paris-suicide-vests-mark-change-tactics-and-new-threat) The suicide vests used by the terrorists require a skilled professional to make.
Ie. They're not something you could reliably put together by merely following a guide, and it would be quite difficult to make 5+ functional ones that didn't explode prematurely. The top level of IS likely did not have any knowledge of details of the attack, but there's a good chance that they did plan the entire support and supply structure required to pull the attack (and many others).
