I agree! It's high time Pixar snapped up their chance at creating Thief as an animated movie.
Alternatively we could all band together and hope to god that Stephen Russell and the rest of the cast have time to recite lines for our own flick.

They could not get the quality of the game into film unless they pull something like final fantasy, all CG. Then use the same voice for Gerrett.

I guess this topic has been discussed to death, but I was just reading through the comments and...I was thinking about how Hugh Jackman (sp) would do playing the part of Garrett. I mean, just look at him as Wolvereen fron X-Men - he was cynical, uncaring, and sorta Garrett-like. *shrugs* Just as idea, although the idea of them ever doing a Thief movie is very unlikely. Although they ARE working on a movie for Fatal Frame (if anyone here plays that - I do), so it's not impossible;)

For the look, frankly I think Ralph Fiennes is perfect. Just imagine him with a hood in that picture and he's Garrett!
He doesn't really have the voice, though.
Considering how old this thread is, however, I highly doubt a Thief movie will ever be made . . . or directed by someone other than Uwe Boll. *shudder*

I don't really feel like wading through all the "suchandsuch should play garrett, soandso should direct"-posts, but I do wonder now and again if there will ever really be a Thief movie. I kind of hope so, but would by far prefer a new game or three. :idea: Maybe we could convince Bethesda to take up the franchise? :sweat:
