Which is the most Scary Performance Character ?
:wot: I think the most scary are the zombies and the spirits skulls (Thief 1)
Thief 2:
The big machines and the little child (gold child)

Little children........... when I'm scared in a game I just get angry. You should have T3 in there. Obviously the mental place is the scariest Thief thing ever.

Most deffinetly... I was never able to play through Thief I and II because of my computer, but the zombies were the scariest thing I came across...

I'd have to vote for the Hammer Haunts. The zombies are creepy at first but they are so dumb and so slow that they soon aren't much of a threat. The Haunts on the other hand start creepy and remain creepy - they move so fast that you can just about forget about escape or outfighting them.

Possibly because I'd heard about beforehand - I didn't find the Cradle to be that scary. The part that freaked me out the most was the library in Thief 2. The first time I entered I came in via the secret passageway. I could hear ghost noises all around me and was convinced the library was full of them. I kept peering around corners but could only see one of them. It wasn't until a bit later that I realised it was the love notes making all the noise.

yeah, I was tripped out there also. I didn't know WHAT the Hell was going on in that library!!

I sort of have a kind of odd affinity for Haunts. They creep me out, but I respect them, and I actually kind of like encountering them. Zombies don't scare me, they just annoy me and become moving obstacles (that I easily run around in any undead mission). However, Apparitions, even after nearly seven years of playing Thief, still manage to make the hair on the back of my neck stand up with their psychotic babbling.
In Thief 2, The large mechanical beasts would probably the the scariest thing for me. I have a weird, irrational fear of robots, particularly large ones (and my husband has an irrational fear of zombies, so we're both covered...if I can ever get him to play the games, anyway). Hearing them clang methodically down a hall, getting closer and closer, hearing the hydrolic whine of their limbs, and the tinny monotone of their voices...my skin tends to want to fly off my body and stick to the ceiling.
And, like everyone else, the scariest thing for me in Thief 3 was The Cradle. Character-wise it would be the Puppets in the asylum, but the whole place kind of works together as a character in and of itself (which is appropriate, because the Cradle itself is supposed to be "alive" and uses the Puppets to do its bidding). And overall, The Cradle remains the scariest thing in the entire series for me, though Return to the Cathedral in T1 ia a pretty close second.

The Treebeasts (Ents, for those with some Lord of the Rings knowledge) in Trail of blood from TMA have to be the nastiest.
The first time you die for what seems no reason, then try again and find out what it is and that it is nearly impossible to kill, you'll know what I mean.
Much deadlier and more fearsome than Burricks, Haunts, Zombies or apparitions.

Actually, I rather enjoy encountering the large mechanical beasts. I like to lie in wait with my water arrows or mines & then destroy them in a perfectly executed move.
But zombies & Hammer Haunts - well - my teeth start chattering at the mere thought of those creatures/entities. No matter how hard I try to take good advice about how to effectively dispatch those nasties I always end up running away screaming to myself with my hands thrown up in the air. Not a pretty sight I can tell you.

For me, the spiders. I've been getting over my fear of them, but they still freak me out something fierce when they see me and come running at me.
Also, the Golden Child. Not in LOTP so much, but in Soulforge - anyone remember when you open up two large doors (you're close to the chapel with the spiderbots) and you can see a Golden Child, standing at the far end of the dimly lit hall, starring at you? That REALLY freaked me out for some reason.
A special award goes to Burricks for not being scary at all. Instead I always get a smile on my face whenever I see or hear them.
