Little is known about Christopher Nolan's latest flick but the (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5VDKVqvo8M) youtubed teaser a while back definitely raised some eyebrows with its Matrixesque gravity-defying fightscene.
Well, the (
http://movies.apple.com/movies/wb/inception/inception-tlr2_720p.mov) Offical QT HD Trailer expands upon that to show that it's actually the world around them that appears to be warping and not some high-powered fighting style, which I'm glad to see.
I'm still not really clear at all on what the premise of the movie is, it seems they're taking pains to make it deliberately obscure, but I'm with it anyway.
That shot of the city bending over is

back of my mind screeching that it's an ill-advised prequel to dark city oh no

The voice over in the trailer makes it sound like they're the Psychic Meme Police (or maybe Meme Thieves), which seems pretty cool.

Faf, maybe they are tasked with stopping internet memes before they cross the line from funny to annoying.

Every time someone says 'All Your Base are Belong to Us' another major European city folds in half.

Yeah, I said yesterday in #thief that the trailer gives me Dark City vibes - although it probably (hopefully) won't be anything like it.
Not because Dark City wasn't good - it was brilliant - but because I'd be disappointed if it was a rehash.

That's pretty much my thinking, as well. Plus trading Kiefer Sutherland for Leonardo diCaprio is pushing it. Why not just go straight to Shia LaBeouf and have done with it?
Also I think Christopher Nolan needs to simmer down a little. I know Warner doesn't really have a huge stable at the moment, but this guy's starting to remind me of JJ Abrams and / or Judd Apatow. These are neither of them good roads upon which to travel if you intend to travel far.

(
http://chud.com/articles/articles/23240/1/A-SNEAK-PEEK-AT-CHRISTOPHER-NOLAN039S-CHILLY-CEREBRAL-INCEPTION/Page1.html) Details emerge (minor story spoilers that I doubt you'll avoid if not living under a rock and will be likely covered in future trailers)
I'm so excited about this!
The concept of idea thieves is fucking awesome in itself but setting that action in the world of dreams just allows for absolutely madness to ensue. The early visuals cues definitely give this a feeling of originality but I'm already an avowed Nolan fanboy so I'll just stop jibbering and let others talk.

So does that mean the next round of world atlas' will reveal hilarious Mad Magazine fold in gags all over Europe?
