I could explain this to you.

No need - I understand why, it just seems they'd be better off not allocating me the days off in the first place since they need to be held back by default.
We're talking small injustices here.

I'm with faetal - scheduled mandatory time off should be holiday hours, not vacation hours.

I agree. :laff:
The experiences of a few years ago taught me to be suspicious. For instance, did the missing taco costing 79 cents happen by accident or design. Did the person who didn't give it to you make a genuine mistake or pocket the 79c - several times a day. Is the glasses graffiti artist in cahoots with the local optician? (Though freddy seems to have come up with an explanation)
I've come to the conclusion that I don't actually suffer any unrectifiable injustices any more. There's always something to offset anything minor (double portion of Saag Aloo) and the major are dealt with and satisfied by phone or online chat. A few years ago that wouldn't be the case so maybe there's something to be said for getting older and also living in a fairly small place.
@ dema - I remember being truly pissed off because someone jumped in front of a train in Southampton thereby causing 3 hours delay at the next station before I could get my children on a train to go home to their father. It was very unsettling for them as well as they were too young to be told the reason for the delay. And my rock of the past 8 weeks was a train driver and did pack it in specifically because of people jumping in front of his train. He says they weren't picking on him and it was more common than people thought.

I grew up in Southampton, so can sympathise.

And there was I thinking you were an OK sort of person. My mistake.
(Bloke's family come from there so . . . :) )

Yeah, look at my current location - I reached escape velocity.

If you're getting angry at people who jump in front of a train (And yeah, we've all been there.) then you may have become part of the reason why people jump in front of trains in the first place, namely a cynical asshole.

already mentioned this in some other topic - wanting to leave this world is no excuse for ruining someone else's day. there are other ways of going, if you really must.
ones that don't involve the cops searching for body parts for a couple of hours.

Missing the obvious of course that if you've decided not to live any more, the very concept of consequences kind of becomes moot.
