You know you play Thief too much when...
[NAUC]Chief on 17/4/2006 at 10:07
my advice, avoid Sydney Australia for the time being or take a helmet if you go anywhere near......:cheeky:
Soul Shaker on 17/4/2006 at 10:48
no, just avoid sydney altogether...
some parts are good, like the main city, but then, there's bondi, which is packed, and rumoured to have sewage in the water (welll, not sure if they removed it?) and then you got the race/religion kinda regions, or the western (i'm pretty sure it's western) suburbs, which, sometimes taking a helmet just won't cover it.
if you're there for the city or some attractions, sure, just don't gear near those suburbs...
come to the sunny coast, just don't try to live here unless you're rich (strangely enough, the price has gone up in the recent years, over double)
/waffle
back to the real topic, yes, you do play thief too much when you think that is a blackjack. to me, i have no idea whatsoever what that would be if you hadn't said so.
hang on! COOKIES?!?!?!! guard the vegemite! now, something related as well: e-mail, forgot the title...

Hey mate Sydney is ok, like most locations it has its good and bad points. When you say sunny coast, do you mean central/northern coast of NSW or Qland sunshine coast? Both quite nice!:) Btw that Bondi Sewage thing is so last century mate.:p Also there alot of nice suburbs, yes even some in the west!
Btw I don't play that much thief, nothing like what alot of people round here do probarly. Have finished theif gold and almost finished theif 2, thats it. However when I'm playing a game it can tend to be on my mind and in my thoughts at times...heh

No, so last millenium...
But I would avoid most of the western suburbs without a shotgun in hand (well, maybe an inflatable blackjack? :P)
Sunny coast=Sunshine Coast
Which is about an hour north of brissy (and to those who don't know how to pronounce brisbane, learn now. Say it with me, bris-ben. People saying it bris-bayne drive me nuts...)
And for me, I'm attempting to finish TMA, but, as usual, 1 mission, just 1, pisses me off. It's kidnap or something...(the 2nd part)
It just so happens i've passed the target about 10 times without even knowing it...so, in light of that, i am pissed off. I could finish it, but, when I finish games, I have a tendancy to almost neverp lay them again, especially ones iwth memorable storylines...so I'll mostl ikely leave it unfinished, come back to it in a few months, (most likely after the computer screwing up and needing a reformat, or blowing the hard disk again...) and start all over again.
And, I'm surprised that there even is an easter show, what, with all the politicial correctness floating around these days, not to mention...it's sydney...ya know, so many different cultures...
See that on 60 minutes?(or a current affair? i forgot) Some family whining about the christmas holidays, being called the christmas holidays by the school...
See, look what happens when I don't talk much for a week or so, I can't stop typing...well, looks like I just did (or am)
Bah!, look at my typing as well...I seem to be pressing 'i' before the first letter...should ifx that up...look! There it goes again...

I think that's the problem, your wathching too many news programs about culture problems in sydney and so it is assumed cultures don't get along at all in sydney which is far from the truth. That's not to say their arn't problems however...
As for political correctness, well Australia is supposed to be a christian country but it has a multicutural society/culture which can at times struggle to fit in with that, so the country will likely continue towards being neutral towards the religious beliefs it represents.
Anyway this is WAAAAAAAAAAY off topic, so lets get back on it. Yes the teddy bear black jacking is adorable.;):cheeky:

Yeah, I was gonna mention the fact that most religions/beliefs have respect for each other. Well, actually, most people do, but, it just seems the christianity and muslisms are getting the brunt of political correctness...
Blackjacking a teddy bear is just...strange...it should still be guarding something more sacred, like the thief discs, or choccy!
Hmmm...blackjack anyone who goes near your eggs...
