This is perhaps a wasted effort, seeing that most folks are using FM Select to play missions. But... I've been trying to insert a picture into the FMInfo-xx.rtf document. I looked Andrea Aleotti's Lord Alan's Fortress, where he has a couple of graphics in the header. However, opening the thing up in Open Office or MSWord gives me nothing but gobbly gook. Also, the editor doesn't identify the graphic type (I suspect it's a .gif.)
Bottom Line: Does anyone know how to make a nice-looking document? (Another thing to add to the list for whoever is going to upgrade the mission launchers.)

Andrea is an italian name of a man.

Not sure, what you're talking about. It's a jpg and it looks okay in Word and OpenOffice.

fibanocci beat me to it, but yeah, I had no issues opening up the rtf in Word either. The image files are imbedded, they're jpgs.

Opens fine for me as well. Terry, sounds like maybe your progs are treating rich text files as plain text perhaps? Not sure how to fix that, but you should be able to insert an image in your readme and save it as .rtf and it will show up properly in Darkloader. I've done it in the past without issues.

OK. I changed the pronoun to 'he' instead of 'she.' In the U.S., Andrea is a woman's name.
Well, something must be screwed up with my install. I can insert the graphics just fine; they just don't display in DL, be they .gif or jpg.

Is it fixed in place?

It looks fine in Word, and I stuck it in my current mission ZIP and it shows up fine for me in Darkloader. Weird it doesn't work for you!

It's looking fine in FMSel (View Info File-->I can see that castle in Word).

Now it's working for me, also! I deleted my Normal.dot template in and replaced it with a clean one. Ka-POW! It works. I'm happy. Still, it should've shown up before in DL. Oh, well.
