Maybe I missed something but I was a little annoyed that you only have one encounter with Inspector Drept in Thief 3. I thought his character was built up pretty well before that encounter, but he gets no real conclusion. It seems a little odd that his involvement in the game was so minimal, although I suppose it's appropriate to the character of Garrett not to involve himself unnecessarily with him.

Yes, he was a very sympathetic character, particularly for a Hammer. I hope that in the end someone thought to inform him of precisely what happened to Lauryl and it's resolution. I think knowing that she was at peace and happy, and that her death had been avenged would make him very happy. It is obvious that her death and the manner of it had obsessed him thoroughout a long life - probably because he felt guilty for not saving her and for surviving.

If an editor ever comes out, I suspect he will be another fan mission cult charactor like Benny...his story can stil be expended upon and I sure would like to know more about him.

i dont know about you but if i was in garrett place, before lauryl leave once freed in fort ironwood, i would tell here to see drept first so he can have some sort of closure and alleviate his guilt from being frozen with fear when he saw his friend being murdered

I hope you're not going to keep resurrecting old threads like this. You're acting like these threads aren't 5-7 years old.
Drept didn't need to see Lauryl, he needed to see the Hag stopped. That's what he wanted, that's what he got. Lauryl wasn't about to prolong her limbo any longer.

my question, is it better to resurect a 5 year old thread or post a new thread on the exact same subject?
i only recently completed the third thief since around the time it came out a store, i was with college sessions to play video game wich is why i am acting like these post arent 5 year old

I may be remembering wrong, although I am fairly sure it was jtr7 (or another long standing member of the community) who told me when I first joined to find an existing thread on the topic rather than keep making new ones

But it's still weird to reply to a thread subject and especially particular posts as if the thread hasn't been used in 7 years. At least give a good reason for resurrecting.
As for Drept, someone is/was working on a FM about him...

Yeah, this forum is way too busy to bear the annoyance of old threads getting in the way of all the new ones.

That's entirely beside the point, snarky boy. 100% off the mark. You've been handed the real reasons and you post that crap. :tsktsk:
