I have finally got the
[SPOILER][SPOILER]key to the Observatory but can't seem to get past the haunts that are blocking the entrance. Maybe I'm just a lousy taffer, but I've tried for ages and just keep getting killed... I have no fire arrows or other weapons left - just my sword. Anybody got any good hints for surviving into the actual observatory?[/SPOILER]
This is a terrific mission - well done! Really enjoying it.

have you tried to chuck a couple of crates around the corner and get the haunts to move to the archer(s)????

[SPOILER]I've made it into the observatory, up the stairs to the room with the bad guys. Do I have to kill him or just grab something with the information? All the notes don't have anything on them. What happens here????? I only have a speed potion left so I need to do it fast and get out. [/SPOILER] Thanks. :confused:

[SPOILER]As long as you have read the scientist's journal and gotten the new objectives, you should be able to just either kill him, then grab the evidence, or if you want/can run past him and grab it and run. The evidence is on the desk behind him.[/SPOILER]

All right, I was in the north wing and got the key and some loot; now I return to the south wing... and a new guard has spawned in the dining room -- and he has spawned already alerted. He's wandering around with his sword raised, searching; but I know I didn't alert him, because when I left, there was only the one patroller -- and he's still unalerted.
But I've sat outside in the shadows, watching him for four full minutes now, and he's not calming down. What's up with that? It makes it awfully tough to ghost when there are alerted guards materializing hither and yon!
Did I mess something up? I had a similar problem in the music room: I was in there, ghosted through, and left; but when I came back later, as I was quietly skulking down the stairs in the shadows -- not even visible yet to anyone in the room -- the gray-haired old bat came running up the stairway, screaming. I know I didn't alert her... but what did? :confused:

My taffing skills have sunk to new low. :tsktsk: [SPOILER]Nobody else seems to have had problems finding the observatory!!!! It is marked on the map in the far north but I can't find it in the mansion. I have knocked out all the guards and only have 2 bots patolling the music room but even with a free range I still can't see it. Is it near where you find the lord or the attic? I also can't find the combination to the vault. I have all the keys I need but where is the note stating what the code is? [/SPOILER]
