To add to the light radius discussion, I suggest making your own concrete object nested under the original, if you have a standard radius you want to add to all of your objects in a certain area of the map. It will inherit all of the attributes of it's parent and just the changes you made to it will be with this child. This is better than placing one in the editor and cloning it, because, what if later you thought you may want to add a cool corona graphic? Then add the corona to the concrete child and then you can hit the "Hierarchy OP" button and "push" those changes to all of the children placed in the map.

I heard you mention crown moulding, which if done right wont use many brushes, just two instead of some people not think about it and make it out of 3 or even 6 brushes on accident. Read more in BuildingPrinciples.doc in the tuts folder (I think you have to have domed toolkit for the file but it's online too).
Also, new dark supports importing a 2d graphic to trace from when your making your building areas in 2d.
