Hahaha. - Not *ahahaha*
You must have misread my post-that or you are deluded, either makes sense. For one I said that we are on the internet, secondly, perhaps if you didn't persist on spouting pompous babble and took time to read a post thoroughly, you'd notice that secondly I mentioned I did not have time to focus on it, I was replying to questions asked of me hastily as I have more concerning matters i.e. hard disc corruption.
Also I don't "try" and blame anything, I can do as I please, and I'm quite certain of my geographical awareness, since I can study it at Oxford if I wished, not that I'm saying I've been accepted twice or anything, I'm sure Zylon's fantasy credentials can match mine.....
Anyhow, I wasn't aware of anyone vividly disagreeing with me, beside Zylon and Solabusca, and do these *people* really matter to me? Hahaha, now who is being deluded? Most members here have been respectful and considerate when putting across their thoughts, for the record Zylon's last 10 posts include about 7 one liners of "no wait you're stupid" and so forth. Yeah I really can't match THAT intellect, I wouldn't stoop to his level, two people can't fit under a rock can they?
"Requisite brainpower"- this is totally your imagining, I didn't mention anything of the sort, but you're fantasising again.
Like I said I don't have time to post here for the forseeable future, after I shut this pc down this final time the hard disc will no longer be bootable, so I'll be offline for awhile, maybe it will give you time to come to your senses, or maybe educate yourselves alittle, maybe some manners wouldn't go amiss, you're far from British.....

except that *anything* is rarely made known "in game" - most of the storyline develops because of the cutscenes/videos and the pre-mission briefs.
I'm disappointed, but not surprised.
Damn those cutscenes.
Oh dear...
You would say that there is *rarely* in game material directly relating to the story and its true depth? (struggling) The only information in the game relating to the story is in the Cutscenes.
I see.

Have you played through The Dark Project?
If not, now may be an excellent opportunity to do so.

An earthly embodiment, however, that makes a lot more sense. If the limit of Constantine's power was that of a mortal archmage, like SaS suggests, then that would easily explain why he couldnt breach the cathedral
or kill Garrett any faster than he did.
You forgot about the part where constantine turns into the Trickster at midgame. Why wouldn't he kill him then, rather than the Maw?
Not breaching the Haunted Cathedral is just as easy for a plain mortal, as it is for a, you guys are calling it Avatar, correct? I like that term. Reminds me of Ultima.

Are you talking to me Goldmoon dawn? I don't quite understand your point, from my point of view, most of the storyline is outlined during mission briefings, and cutscene movies, the *in game* action im referring to is the traversing of the level and completing the mission objectives, stealing loot and so forth doesn't really relay the progression of the storyline quite as much.
The cutscenes and mission briefings tend to follow the line such as "tonight im robbing a hammer temple to make some rent money", then someone tries to kill you and you have to escape as your objective, the next mission briefing is something along the lines of "someone tried to kill me, now im going here to find out why...", if you follow my line of thought. Achieving the mission parameters and completing a mission leads you to the next stage of the game, the in game is the action, and the mission briefings and cutscenes are the reaction. Yes I've played the dark project and know it inside out, it's my favourite of the three games, closely followed by TDS.

... Riiiiiiight. Just like you've been a contributing member of this forum for the last four years.
You know, I almost choked on my water when I read that you were ascribing your terrible sentence structure, spelling, punctuation and grammer to the fact that you were British, and that what you used might be different/more correct as a result.

I'm sure that your hard drive is not working right now. Certain of it, in fact. I've had a hard drive or two fail in my life, and I've certainly been able to type for hours after it crashes. Of course.
You're a right clever little bugger for being able to continue to use yours when it is, for all intents and purposes, dead.

while the trickster refers to himself as a god and is referred to as a god and an "old god", he doesn't quite behave like one......sigh
In defense of the Trickster not being good at his job. Did it ever occur to you how many "things" were under his control, right down to the swayin' plants. You will find that many times, someone or something is doing the work *for* the Trickster, and in many different ways. To me at least, the readables were pretty clear, and judging from the cutscenes he surely had lofty design. He was a master Trickster, just like Garrett was a Master Thief. Would it have really made sense if the Trickster discovers you in the Maw, and launches an all out brawl on poor Garrett? Why, after sneaking through a whole game, would the player want to study up on sword/arrow play, to win a fight that *if* won, would eradicate the need for every Mission after The Cutscene Of Doom where you first meet the Trickster. No, because you are supposed to be in the shadows, Taffer! Step out and get caught during the ritual, and I'de say the punishment is more "cerebral" than visual or outwardly destructive. And that is your point. The point is, The Trickster *was* immortal. Poor little Garrett couldn't touch him...
The only way to defeat the Trickster, was to trick him. Like he tricked you through every step of the game. A little more meaty than your average FPS.

Did you miss *every* scroll, papyrus, book, and note or just the ones relating to the story?

I don't have time to read your posts right now, I'll read them sometime in the future, well I'll read yours Goldmoon, I can't quite get to grips with your logic yet but bear with me. Solabusca, Ive seen your first few lines and you're obviously confused about a hard disc crash, and also I don't have to justify anything for you, not least my english skills, which I'm more than adequately qualified for, but maybe you've forgotten where you are, or MAYBE JUST MAYBE YOU HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO? Seems much more likely to me. As for the fact I'm British, you're probably lying and are jealous, but hey you haven't said anything of worth on the thread now, why start now.
Anyway, like I've said I'm a busy man with my hard disc crashing from a cyclic redundancy error, not that you'd understand but maybe you can look it up and then maybe education will be the key to your multitude of woes.

cling to their version, because it could actually hold water, even though you need an overactive imagination and hardcore TTLG-style interpretation
