About 1 year ago give or take a month or two. I found a Thief box set for sale. It intreeged me and so I purchased it. I've been playing it and looking forward to Thief 4. While playing Thief 3 I met a couple of people that I wanted to know and friend. They were jtr7, and Vae. I was in school at college at the time and these two people were my guiding light into the world of thief. I took a hiatus for several months only to find my two friends where gone. Only to be able to find them again here. I'm a game designer. I have a degree in it. I accomplished something I never thought I'd be able to. I came to this site to reconnect with my friends and talk about thief. I didn't see any other introduction thread so I thought I'd put one up.
I'll be posting here off and on. I'm a busy man with looking for work and trying to make ends meet if you will. I hope that my friends do realize this is the same guy that was so psycd about Thief 3 and so in detail about The Cradel mission. These guys didn't make fun of me, and only stated that I should play the first two games. Which I'm doing at the moment and will be until completion to put my thoughts on it as well.

Back in January, there was a big blowout on the Eidos forums. Myself, and many other long-standing veterans decided to leave due to an inordinate amount of censorship and questionable behavior from those managing the forum. 'Tis a shame of course, because they lost a great amount of fine contribution and THIEF community support, as well.
I'm glad to see that you're playing the first two games...I'm sure you'll love them!...:thumb:

Welcome to the forum Fizbop. Glad you found the Thief forum as well as comm chat. For your Thiefy needs, the Thief forums are the place to sink your teeth into. I still love Thief myself, haven't played much lately, work is insane. Comm Chat we talk about anything and everything. Stick around, lots to see and talk about!

Thank you for the warm welcome. It is appresiated. I honestly have to say that I started with Thief 3 and loved the heck out of it. Not too many people do or the number is rising of people that do like it. Either way I'm not afraid to say that it was my first thief game I played and enjoyed it.

Oh I forgot to mention, I'm completely jealous you're going through the first two games, you virgin you. Never will a game leave such a lasting impression as Thief did, so long ago.

I never thought it was possible for a game to inspire me so much. I'm going to be putting up some of the art that I did for the game once I find the thread for it. This is how much it rest in my heart. I don't know how long it will take me to finish the first two games. But I guarantee that it will be worth a read once I post my thoughts on it. :)

Just started playing Thief Gold again. The mission The Guild is one of the hardest missions I've seen in this game so far. I've had no luck in passing this level in about 4 days I've gotten further. However I seem to always set the guards off no matter what kinda lighting I'm in. Frustrating but fun

Hello, Fizzbop! You should really check out System Shock 2 and the original Deus Ex if you appreciate smart, diverse games. T1, SS2, and DX are a bit like the "holy trinity" around here - I guess you could say T2 is included in that list as well. Maybe it's the Pope. Or if you're not Catholic, kind of like that youth pastor you always liked, though he wasn't quite as cool and outdoorsy as the guy he replaced. If you're an atheist, there will be no games in hell, so disregard this entire post since you will be burning in everlasting fire.
